Licensed to Ill by The Beastie Boys was the first CD I ever bought, and the soundtrack album to O Brother Where Art Thou? was the second one.

I was in Second Grade and bought them both with my allowance I had saved up. It was at one of those small local record stores that has long since gone out of business.

I had to do extra chores and save up more to buy the O Brother Where Art Thou? OST because it was fairly new at the time, but I wanted it because I liked the movie as a kid and I'm a sucker for bluegrass music.

I bought Licensed to Ill because I thought the cover art looked cool and it was really cheap.

Both turned out to be great albums well worth the money.

I've thought about telling my brothers about the Farms (they are only aware of it because I showed them the Shia LaBeouf thread), but I think it's better if there's just one Kiwi in this household.
