Lowtax could never write anything with a serious tone. I think maybe it's a big reason he's not funny.
He can never look at himself or internalize his experiences and use that as a basis for his creative works. He's shallow as a baking tray and the most he can do is point out the obvious and use crude phrasing for shock value, but without the cleverness or even inventiveness of mainstream shock-jocks.
He could never craft a work so intricate as to re-spin the story of web 1.0. He can barely even relate what happened without the extra layers. He's going to continue to post boomer shit on Facebook until he can't afford internet anymore.

With the money Lowtax had for a considerable time, he could've easily invested into an industry that gives him a nice, passive stream of income and isn't at danger to be toppled by balding, often middle-aged men in bulging women's undergarments at any minute for any reason. I don't even think it has even dawned on him how good he had it and how easily he could've had his current do-nothing lifestyle, just with a stream of income he doesn't have to beg for and nobody can touch.
