Rick and Morty Griefing Thread - Now With 300% More Incest!

I think the main problem(s) with this newest episode is that it doesn't feel very cohesive. The horse masturbation machine somehow leads to giant sperm somehow leads to an Independence Day spoof. Add on top of that the dated jokes about how women aren't respected by men that don't make sense anymore, even within the context of the show itself and a "lying is bad" message. I can't decide if the CHUDs (surprisingly not a 4chan reference) or the giant sperm were more pointless. It's kind of impressive how even Reddit hates this episode.

Why doesn't Rick immediately suspect Morty did something wrong considering how weird he was acting as soon as the episode started? And why was Rick so nice all of a sudden in comparison to the last few seasons? It should be a good thing that he doesn't know everything and he's spending time with his family without taking them to alien orgies like a degenerate, but it's jarring because he was a complete dick on semi-God mode (not season 3 tier) for the past few episodes.

This season feels surprisingly aimless, like they're just going through the motions while simultaneously running out of ideas.

I always like seeing new aliens/creatures at least, and I think the new ones (cow-dog people and horse people) have been fun, but I just know the furfags are gonna run with this shit if they haven't already. Not even gonna check to see what they've done to the poor cat people from season 2.

Fuck, most of the content of this season so far has been all different sorts of coomer bait.

More like fetish fuel. In the earlier seasons the weird stuff could be waved away as being weird shit written for laughs but now it's so specific it has to be someone fetish. The first time I noticed was either Summer talking about pissing herself constantly or the entire dragon fucking episode (someone found out the writer was retweeting porn of the dragon).

This was one of the problems that led to the Simpsons' decline in quality. Basically the turning points become more and more of a reach until it got to the point where the first act of most episodes of the Simpsons were like an unrelated sketch. It's a sign they're running out of ideas and just putting parts of ideas together.

I actually still kind of like Rick & Morty for what it is. I don't think it's an especially smart show, but I usually find it funny. I came into this thread because this one was especially terrible. Like seriously, what in the fuck? There have been stinkers before, but this has to be the worst one they've done.
 
Thinking about the Planetina episode, I guess her insanity is justified because she gets exposed to social media (which she couldn't earlier because of her handlers). Still a shit disgusting episode, but that's kind of semi decent writing, even if it raises the question why a 40+ spirit is behaving like a 20 year old zoomer dipshit.
 
I watched the leaked episode yesterday and hoo boy what a stinker. Nice of them to bring back the gross incest baby and have Summer be an even bigger cunt than usual. I get the feeling that the creeps writing this shit are trying to go the Moral Orel route with slowly transforming the show into a psychodrama. The problem is that this show tries to have it both ways: simultaneously trying to keep up the irreverent 'everything sucks' detachment and also trying to get the viewers to actually care about the characters. It results in a wildly inconsistent tone where the lingering feeling after watching an episode is one of uncleanliness and depression.

That hurts man. I forgot the series existed but in the end it's a less pretentious and more heartfelt R&M. I remember reading fan theories that Mark Lily had to be part celestial or angelic because of his unnatural goodness and that Heaven would be as much of a corporate sellout as Hell was in the series.

Then again, I'm glad it ended before going the R&M route.
 
I also think the wacky monkey cheese sketch bits work better when they are off world. like the blitz and chips. or if mr
nimbus was from another reality etc.

Same with interdimensional cable the story train or mind blowers, they also done kinda sketch stuff but wrapped in a better wrapper or narrative

the chuds the monster sperm would fit better by being not on earth.

When dan almost got cancled and roland moved to solar opposites the show took a change

3 times if you count when they go dream hopping and the math teacher has creepy, S&M dreams containing Summer. "Lets have an inter-generational sandwich" is what I believe the dream Summer called it.
