Rick and Morty

Well, it's like more alternate timeline Morties and even then they were all fused into the OG morty to reverse their deaths, but yeah pretty much.
If they were all fused together, wouldn't that mean that Morty has higher molecular density now? As in he can moon-jump and lift cars above his head?

It amazing after all these years people are still mentioning GamerGate of all things.
Though it really isn't surpassing when the creator's politics are so blatant and in your face.

This is the first time a mainstream animated show has mentioned Gay-merGate.

I can't wait for people to watch this show years into the future and research into the shitty madness that is Gay-merGate just to find out what it is.

Wow, that episode was bad. It had barely any laughs, the main idea was lackluster and the ending just reinforces how Rick is gary stu who must always be proven right. The only good thing I can say about it is that it at least was less edgy graphic violence and that they tried to do something unique with the non vocal scene mid episode.
In the end it's a worse variant of Rick Potion #9 in pretty much all aspects.

I wanted to check if there were really no case of prior time travel episodes and found a gem (probably late). The Rick and Morty wikipedia has every page stapled with dozens of the following image:

Under the title:
You NEED Joe Biden. Joe Biden will make America Think Again!

You really need an high IQ to understand Rick and Morty....

That episode was mediocre af. Not very funny, badly paced, and kinda stupid. Apparently that whole scene with the girlfriend at the middle of the episode was added in at the last minute because the episode was 5 minutes short:

Also, Jeff Loveness, that motherfucker has written 4 or the 8 episodes this season compared to the other writers. Where the hell are the other writers?

It's just OK at best, but it's worth giving at least one chance if R&M is all but getting on your nerves as it is now, to be honest.
This isn't really a slant at you, Shokew, this is more just a general thing I've noticed from people who've consumed all of the stuff by Green Portal Productions: I seriously don't understand why people are saying that Solar Opposites is at all different from Rick and Morty and may alleviate the same issues you may have with Rick and Morty. Because everything made by Justin and Dan is all the fucking same.

Solar Opposites is just Rick and Morty, except with a larger focus on being a sitcom and being "more mature" than R&M. Trover Saves the Universe is just Rick and Morty except with a larger focus on sci-fi nonsense, Accounting Inc. is just Rick and Morty sci-fi/weird concepts but without any real plot to string it together, and so on. It all looks the exact same, there's no variation whatsoever between artstyles and it gets tiring to look at. Like, I love Gennedy Tartokovsky, right? And whenever you see something of his, there's usually a subtle tell that carries throughout his work that lets you know he's worked on it: but not all of his shows look exactly the same with barely any changes whatsoever. Maybe that's not a fair comparison because Gennedy is far more experienced, clearly gives more of a shit about his craft than Justin or Dan, and his projects have wildly different tones to them, granted: but seeing these two use the same exact template (with the only difference being they just exaggerate body proportions) doesn't tell me this is just a part of their "brand", or is their signature look, it just tells me they're lazy and can't think of any other better designs even though they're both perfectly capable of doing so.

And that's another thing: every single thing Justin or Dan work on has the exact same humor throughout, the same shtick, the same stupid improvisational tone where y-y-y-you got people stuttering...and pausing and and...uh, not really getting their lines right, and not getting their lines right, repeating the same thing about not getting their lines right, I mean, repeating the same thing about how this is totally wacky. Wowee, whoa, look how wacky this is...I mean wow, geez, it sure is wacky and weird glad we're...glad this thing isn't doing whatever weird stuff they're doing, glad we...glad we don't give a shit about jokes, oh whooowee man oh geez (repeat ad nauseum for 3 minutes). And yet fans eat it up saying that it's gotta be like that because it's part of Justin and/or Dan's brand of humor.

The first time it's kinda funny. Having it show up a few times during stuff like Interdimensional Cable where that kind of humor can thrive makes sense. But after nearly 7 years of that humor across multiple projects with nothing new being done to it, and with no actual interesting concepts or stories cropping up anymore to help balance out that humor, it gets really, really stale and wears on you very quickly.

Yet people still think it'll be different this time, and that somehow this new project will solve those issues, and reinvigorate their love for this style of humor, and every time it falls completely flat because it's all just banking off of the success of Rick and Morty. Because that's all Justin or Dan know how to make these days, now that they've creatively bankrupted themselves and now that they've lost so many crucial members of their old staff. None of it's fun or exciting anymore, and the sentiment probably rings true for the both of them working on this as well. You can feel the cynicism, with the episodes themselves now blatantly saying this to your face, but it's still not getting through to anyone.

Actually, you've pointed out very well exactly why Solar Opposites will be forgotten sooner rather than later, really - and better than I could have or have seen others point out why this "new" show is setting itself up to be such.

Also... Just being OK at best (IMHO, anyway) isn't enough to be fondly remembered, either, to put it basically enough.

Now if only the same could happen to R&M in a couple of years to encourage something with more quality and some actual IQ to it getting made in its place, not by Harmon/Roiland, either... That would be wonderful. It ain't gonna happen fast enough, either.
