Last season was, overall, a bust for me, and I didn't see anything in this trailer that got my hopes up.

Also, does anyone else find it weird that Jerry, the loser that is shit on by everyone constantly, was a fun to shit on early on, but now, I find myself agreeing with him and wanting him to tell his family to fuck off?

There's gotta be a term for this. The Meg and Butters Effect? Is there a term for where a hated character gets dumped on by its own show so much and then becomes more well liked through sympathy of being shit on and then gains acceptance that way?

Iirc Butters was never really hated.

I remember there being alot of "Fuck him, we like Kenny more" sentiments being thrown around when they tried to make Butters the new 4th kid, and they tried writing off Kenny permanently.

I also remember some people not liking "Butters Very Own Episode" as it centered entirely on him, and left the boys out.

It's more like Jerry doesn't like Rick, has extremely valid reasons for it, which are justified just about every episode, and he is treated as a loser for it.
And the cases where he gets involved with the plot usually having him interact with weird shit in a far more fun honest way rather than the completely cynical Rick and Morty.
Finally, his VA talks like a regular human being.

Rick and Morty has been more or less dead to me since the McDonald's sauce debacle. That was such a moment of cringe that I haven't really cared to check out the show since, save for 1 episode of Season 4, and it sucked.

I haven't even gone back to watch the first two seasons again in years. Sad, considering I really genuinely loved those episodes.

Oh how I wish we could go back to September 2017 when it was still cool to have a Rick and Morty avatar here.
