Sonichus are my trigger.

Seriously though, it's nice to see that Chris does hold some feelings for his fans.

This would be a really heartfelt post that actually made me feel sorry for the guy...

...If it weren't for the fact that he included a money beg too.

I think it's heartfelt. Chris really doesn't understand that he didn't have to get the Legos that should have been mom's teeth. That's just overhead in his mind.

Got it screencapped for ya, Tubular:

I can sympathize with Chris, but then of course he has to ask for more money...

It would be an interesting idea though... the CWCki sending him more artwork for his fan-wall.... perhaps we should print out a copy of the Fan Jam we've been working on in the Sonichu forum...

"Thank you for the gift fan...it made me miserable but its not your fault. Money pleez"
Tho it is nice to see him acknowledging his fans and seeing that he really did appreciate the fan stuff he was given....shame he always seems to have something negative to say at the end. It reminds me of that fanart he got where he said "It's great....but you drew the tail on Rosechu wrong so it could have been better"

While I sympathize with our dear lunkhead, I guarantee that upwards of 75% of any money sent to him would still go to LEGO.

No, I'm sure it is heartfelt, it's just that the money beg really put me off. I do feel for him, though. If I lost all my stuff in a fire, I'd be devastated too.

It's really amazing how Chris can make you want to be somewhat empathetic towards him, but he usually finds a way to nullify it like with his constant e-begging.

I can't wait until he starts to use trigger warnings.

I guess if anything, I'm surprised he isn't glad that the Asperchu medallion was lost in the fire. For the longest time, I thought he hated Asperchu and everything to do with it. But I guess it's like the "Asperger's stealing limelight from true autistics" thing with the Mary and Max update. When I see how he has moved on from these things that would've sent him into full blown raging about five or six years ago, I like to think now that there may still be a little hope for Chris yet. But when it comes down to Chris...hope is fragile...(:_(

Knowing Chris, I can infer 3 possible courses of Chandler-Reasoning:

1) Masochism - Chris is a glutton for punishment, whether he would ever admit it or not. The whole Asperchu thing was one of the last few times where he was having actual conversations with another actual person outside of Barb and the poor cashiers at McDonalds. Chris would hold onto the memory, bitter as it was for him, because it still had some semblance of him being something.

2) Pride - Again with the whole Asperchu incident - Chris looks at everything in black and white. Meaning, he probably looked at the medal as some kind of "medal of valor" against the trolls. It's true purpose wasn't that, but Chris does have a way of skewing past events in his favor... which leads to...

3) Greed/Ignorance - Remember how Simonchu became Simonla? Asperchu became Mitch. Therein, according to Chris logic, Asperchu now belongs to him because reasons.

Thought he hated Asperchu? Or perhaps the Asperchu medallion + Asperchu saga just reminds him now of a time when he was happier, when his father still lived, when his house still stood, and when he conversations with normal people ( even if they were with trolls and only on the telephone)

Chris chose dialog option C: Try to invoke sympathy by bringing up a traumatic event.

Fans will now give 20% more cash! It's super effective!

Chris' business is more of a donation button to saving him from being totally broke than anything else, ergo it makes sense to beg for people to buy more of his by trying to evoke sympathy since it's pity and not the high quality of artwork that makes people buy his stuff.

For whatever it's worth, it's not like he's straight up begging people to buy him expensive lego sets for absolutely nothing in return, although I can understand how people will find it being obnoxious considering how painfully transparent Chris is. It's like he can't go for a week without absolutely being on his knees begging his fans to buy more.
