RIP Thread

I said this in another thread, but Fleetwood Mac should be in the same conversation as Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. You may have never heard of their music, but to say that they are not influential and historic is just downright dishonest.
That's a fair call. There are parallels between Fleetwood Mac and Pink Floyd in that they both had highly influential yet slightly loopy founding members (Peter Green and Syd Barrett respectively), and both bands' sound changed after said founding members left. Both bands kinda lost the plot in the '80s, though to be fair very few musical artists from the '60s managed to get through the '80s completely unscathed.

More unexpected deaths to report, courtesy of Breitbart:

It also should be pointed out that there is no cause as to why both died, but the young country singer dying hours before his wedding sounds both suspicious and sad at the same time.

A couple days late to this thread, but Fleetwood Mac is my favorite band. I'm obviously a Stevie stan but I adore Christine as well. Got the news via a text and my heart sank. Like Kiyoshi Kobayashi's death, I was saddened despite knowing that she died peacefully and after a very long life. I didn't realize she was almost 80. I've been listening to Fleetwood Mac for as long as I can remember; I definitely sang "Little Lies" when I was a preschooler.

I am especially grateful that I saw Fleetwood Mac in concert now.

My mom really loved Fleetwood Mac so the music reminds me of her. She was really into Stevie Nicks in particular.

He died peacefully with his family by his side. Though, it’s a shame that he lived long enough to see the show turn into something that does not represent children in the best of light.

Robert used to use his wife as his artistic muse in their younger days. I do wish for him to remain strong and not succumb to the tragedy of losing the one woman that stood by him, even when she was the one that accepted him for who he became to be.
