RIP Thread

Hockey player Börje Salming passed away due to ALS today at the age of 71. He was the first European born NHL player to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.
Börje is a national hero in Sweden.
ALS is a horrible disease.
There are rumors that he killed himself.
Saw footage of him at the ceremony where he was honored just last week. He looked awful.

I got to ask what's with both actresses of Meg from Supernatural being super ill. Like I didn't even know Nicki Aycox had leukemia.

But I do know the other actress who played Meg later in the show Rachae Miner had to retire from acting because of her medical condition.
A cursed role apparently. Though Miner's wiki says she's still acting and stumping for disabled actors.

Oh ok that's good to hear. From what I read about her disability that probably isn't easy. So good for her for power throw it.

I thought I read she retired. I guess I was mistaken.

I've seen people with varying symptoms of MS. Some you couldn't even tell. As for the retirement, it's mentioned in the wiki that those stories are definitely floating around.

Oh man this hurts. I was watching episodes of Walker the last two mouths when visiting with my dad and stepmother. I just got back last week. This another gut punch.

Seriously what the fuck November!!!
Kevin Conroy, Jason David Frank and now Clarence Gilyard.
Why does it seem a lot of 90s Heroes seem to be dying this mouth. This mouth isn't even over yet. Someone protect Lorenzo Lamas!!!

Edit R.I.P to the greatest Texas Ranger partner. Growing up Travitt wasn't the black texas ranger in my eyes. No he was Walker's best friend and partner nothing else. Now he can be with C.D in heaven. I'm sure C.D will be happy to see his fellow Texas Ranger again.

Theo, Jimmy and Sundown were the most memorable characters he’s ever done. The fact that he was able to play memorable American heroes, even with the help of Chuck Norris, showed that he could have range.

It sucked to find out that before his death that he was dealing with an undisclosed long illness. Hopefully his family can find peace during this unfortunate time.
