Don't forget we lost Rene Auberjonois the same year. :heart-empty:

Tbh, I kinda hated how the show ground to a halt every time Darren showed up, but he played the part well and he did have a couple of good episodes. RIP, Vic.
I thought the Vic episodes were fun, especially the casino robbery. It gave Avery Brooks the chance to show off his singing chops. Another thing to keep in mind is that, at the time of the show's airing, there was a sort of Rat Pack revival. It might seem weird now, but Vic was received well back in the day.

RIP James Darren. While we're at it, RIP to Rene Auberjonois and Aron Eisenberg (who had one of the best character arcs in the whole show).

I think I'd have liked it better if they'd managed to introduce him in season 4 like they'd intended to, before the Dominion War really got going and they had to bring in Ezri after Terry Farrell left the show. By that point they had so much other stuff going on that it felt like they were just cramming him in because Vic was Behr's pet character. That said, "It's Only A Paper Moon" was Nog's finest episode and James Darren did a great job.

I’ve never watched any of his videos and he already sounded like a true professional who just seemed like he was so filled with life while talking about gun markmanship as a hobby.

Not too many YouTubers exist like him these days. I do hope his family and friends can find peace even if he’s no longer here in the world.

He was. His content was dry at times, but never boring or lacked passion, he just came off like a high school trigonometry teacher who have a shit about you, about his subject and just wanted you to see why both of them were important. And every now and then he'd slide in something hysterically funny that felt like it was only for the 1% of autistic retards who could follow.

He was the best of us.

Well, him and Dugan

Brian Trueman, writer of Danger Mouse and Count Duckula, actor and TV/radio presenter, has died aged 92.
....and the relentless march of time steals another chunk of my childhood. (:_(

The first season of Duckula was released on DVD a couple of decades back, but the full series was nowhere to be seen. I managed to find a download of the entire series (took me days iirc, my connection was shit) and eventually discovered why: it was the most un pc stuff imaginable. I didn't remember all that much of it from when I was a kid, so it was rather a surprise. It's just as well it's been memory holed... a remake today would have the troons up in arms about the character of Nanny being a negative depiction of transpeople...

Rebecca Cheptegei, a Ugandan distance runner who competed in the women's marathon in Paris a few weeks ago, was doused in petrol and set on fire by her boyfriend in Kenya at the beginning of September. She died today.

"Cheptegei had just returned from church when she was attacked by her former partner, Dickson Ndiema Marangach, police say. Her two young daughters are reported to have to have witnessed it all and tried to intervene."

Word is the dumbass also set himself on fire in the attack and wound up in the same hospital as the woman he murdered. Good. Hope he suffers.

TMZ has just confirmed it.

I can only imagine what Young Thug is thinking right now during fighting his ongoing RICO case in court.

Incidents like this are one of the reasons that Kenya has a thriving female separatist movement:

I hope that the poor girls that witnessed the whole thing are okay.
