I know it's in the news section, but RIP to Robert Guillaume. Star of Benson and voice of Rafiki in The Lion King
 
I was watching The Man with the Golden Gun today and simultaneously remembered that both Christopher Lee and Roger Moore died relatively recently. RIP.
 
Dick Gordon, astronaut, flew Gemini 11 and served as Command Module Pilot for Apollo 12, our second manned mission to the Moon. He was great and those guys laughed all the way to the Moon and back.

Just came to see if someone had already mentioned her. Her voice acting was a big part of my childhood as well as the childhood of millions . RIP Hiromi Tsuru.

Legendary Australian guitarist and AC/DC co-founder Malcolm Young has died aged 64.

Known for the powerhouse riffs and rhythm guitar that propelled the Sydney group to superstardom, Young had been suffering from dementia for the past three years.

He was replaced by nephew Stevie for the band's last tour promoting the 2014 album Rock Or Bust.

He died peacefully on Saturday with his family by his bedside, a statement said.

"Renowned for his musical prowess, Malcolm was a songwriter, guitarist, performer, producer and visionary who inspired many," the statement read.

"From the outset, he knew what he wanted to achieve and, along with his younger brother, took to the world stage giving their all at every show. Nothing less would do for their fans."

He is survived by his wife O'Linda and two children.

He was 64 and suffered from dementia. I had heard he no longer remembered being in the band. He retired in 2015. At that point he was forgetting the songs. Elder Young brother George died last month at 70.
 
David Cassidy is in a medically induced coma with multiple organ failure. It's only a matter of time now.
