RIP Thread

With the death of Richard Moll, something especially ghoulish occurred to me, not only has John Astin outlived the rest of the main cast of the original Addams Family TV series but he's also outlived most of the main cast of the original Night Court (on which Astin was a recurring guest star playing Harry Stone's biological father Buddy Ryan) other than John Larroquette and Marsha Warfield plus a few other actors who left after the first two seasons.

(I hope John Astin makes it past 100.)
The best Gomez, but a second-rate Riddler. Frank Gorshin definitely took to that role on Batman and made it his own.

In other news, Raiders first-round pick CB D.J. Hayden killed in car crash

Maryanne Trump Barry, the elder sister of former President Donald Trump, has died at the age of 86

My Grandmother died due complications from cancer at 82. She was my best friend, whom I could depend on no matter what. We saw each other every day. She was there for me in birth as I was for her in death. I will never stop missing her, but will take solace in knowing she is no longer suffering.

M. Russell Ballard died 2 days ago at the age of 95. He was one of the twelve apostles at the Latter Day Saints Church.
We were speculating he wasn't going to make the rest of the year, he looked and sounded so frail at conference. Henry B. Eyring's wife died shortly after conference, so he has a few more years, as does Jeffery R. Holland (who's recovering from Covid) when he lost his wife.

Yeah yeah, they're all old white guys in their 90s, but it's still sad to see great men go. They tend to go downhill once their wives die.

You seem to be quite invested in LDS.

Was trying to find out more about this because that's so young and while it's still just a "medical emergency" as far as the cause goes, yesterday his father revealed that he died behind the wheel driving his kids home from sports practice and his ten year old son drove the car to safety.

Holy shit. That's some kind of situation.
