When they’re not too busy having Xi Jinping making California clean for the, but not for Californians, the Chinese Communist Party just paid tribute to Henry Kissinger

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin said Kissinger "attached great importance to China-US relations and believed that they were vital to the peace and prosperity of the two countries and the world." The ministry added that President Xi Jinping sent a message of condolence to US President Joe Biden.

China's ambassador to the US, Xie Feng, said on social media that Kissinger's death was a "tremendous loss for both our countries and the world" adding that "history will remember what the centenarian had contributed to China-US relations."

I even saw on Breitbart where their lead Jewish reporter who was on record wanting to destroy all Palestinians that live in Gaza write an obituary for him, yet their commenters from both political parties were struggling whether to pay tribute or troll the site as a whole for writing what appeared to be a long advertisement for him.

Oh no. Oh no. NO NO NO NO NO. Fuck.

Fuck. Shane was one of those guys who could never die, but he did.

The live version of "Fairytale Of New York" is my fave (and Kirsty MacColl was a legend of her own).

RIP Shane

Much like Amy Winehouse or Scott Weiland, his death wasn't exactly unexpected or surprising given his lifestyle and history, but it still sucks to hear about it. Like AW, or other similar people, it makes you wonder if indeed there is some truth to the "tortured artist" trope. If there is an afterlife, I hope he finds the peace he never had in this one.

Mainly for the late Boomers/early Gen Xers (or Canucks in general):

Myles Goodwyn, original lead singer of the Canadian rock band April Wine, dead at 75. While a big Canadian act, April Wine had two notable hits outside of Canada, 1979's "I Like To Rock" and the 1981 ballad "Just Between You And Me."

This reminds me that Chad Allan, the original lead singer for The Guess Who, died on November 21st at the age of 80.
