Archive.md (and variants) gets around high-profile news outlet paywalls. This fact (plus my country's social media news ban) has gotten more normies I know using it than any data archival/preservation arguments have, though obviously only for stuff they actually want to read that is also paywalled in a mainstream outlet.

My huzzzzzbin & I, who were in our teens when "Alice's Restaurant" came out, honeymooned in Stockbridge MA in 2017, and we visited the church and took pictures. Another little bit of history gone...may she rest in peace. (We also played Arlo's "Wedding Song" as our first dance, so we do like him a bunch)

You need install an additional browser that remains 'out of the box', get used to life in slow motion, it has it's benefits. Then put it into archive for a link to share.

When we got there, we saw a big sign and a chain across the news site sayin' "closed on Thanksgiving." We had never heard of a news site bein' closed on Thanksgiving before, and with tears in our eyes we drove off into the sunset.

I try not to celebrate people's deaths, even if they're someone who did evil things and the world would be better off without them. All this guy did was questioned the coronavirus and gave us one of the funniest game show clips of all time.
