If you watch basketball, you may know this guy from March Madness.

What’s funny is I used to see him a lot when I was younger, and even then, I always thought he was cooler than Bryant Gumbel. It won’t be the same without his college ball analysis during March Madness.

At least the anchor (and not football player) Jim Brown is still kicking it.

I don't even blame Maco; talk about life being unfair. That he made it this far is a miracle. Dude lived a tortured existence and I can sympathize with him choosing to end it all. RIP
He had a tortured existence? What about my tortured fucking ears! That "song" of his was like listening to a professional dish washer scream "bitch! Bitch! Bitch!" at a sink full of dirty cutlery for three awful, tone deaf minutes.

Olivia Hussey, who starred in Romeo and Juliet and Black Christmas (the first slasher film ever made), has died at the age of 73. https://www.sfchronicle.com/entertainment/article/olivia-hussey-death-romeo-juliet-20003610.php
Well that sucks :( I liked her performance in that... however, from the article:

The article said:
In 2023, Hussey and Whiting filed a $500 million lawsuit against the film’s distributor Paramount Pictures alleging sexual abuse, sexual harassment and fraud. The suit also said the movie’s famous nude scene, which show Hussey’s bare breasts and Whiting’s buttocks, was filmed without their knowledge.

The actors said in the suit that their nudity in the film caused decades of emotional damage and mental anguish.
Now that's a load of horseshit. "Oh I'm on a film set and we're shooting a film and I have my tits & ass out (by choice) for a scene that's supposed to be in the film but oh no I had no idea anybody was filming, also it was fifty years ago and I didn't notice until now and it's been endless pain and suffering even though I never spoke up also lol what's the statute of limitations gib money plz!"

lol fuck off.

I know you weren't expecting Mozart when you saw the thumbnail. You knew better!

Jimmy Carter has apparently passed away.

For awhile, seemed you almost couldn't watch a sporting event without his involvement somehow back in the day.

Mysterio Jr is 50 today. Apparently Sr & Jr are also uncle and nephew, not father and son.
I misinterpreted the "also" in this sentence at first and was more than a little horrified for a moment.

Jimmy Carter has passed away at the age of 100.
Regardless of his politics, I always appreciated his charitable work afterwards, as far as modern presidents go, I'm glad he was the one to get to 100.
