Til I Die and Surf's Up are going on repeat all day.

I hate this week already. Sly's death was already bad enough, but this is exponentially worse. A tortured genius on par with Van Gogh. RIP Brian, hope you've finally found peace and are finally reunited with your brothers up there.

In an ideal world, Mike Love would've died first. Fuck this fucking world to hell and back.

>Sly Stone is dead
>Brian Wilson is dead

The week just started and it’s already a bad year for music.
This is just the start. All the 60s legends are getting into their 80s now, some already mid-late 80s. It’s gonna be one blow after another for the forseeable future.

RIP to one of the greats. His music brought a lot of happiness to millions.

I'm going to be a broken cow when the ELO lads start departing.
Kelly Groucutt has been dead a while. Richard Tandy just died. Two of three of the original strings section are gone.

When Jeff dies, you might as well cancel music altogether. It'll be a horrible day.

Greatest band of all time.

When it’s time for Van Morrison to go I’m going to sob as hard as I did when it was Tom Petty.

Beach Boys are awesome, Pet Sounds is one of my favorite albums ever.

Brian had a hard life allegedly he was deaf in one ear due to his dad hitting him there. So dude did crazy things in stereo but couldn't hear it.

Becomes rich rockstar, has a complete mental breakdown and does tons of drugs for years. Goes under the care of a fagot therapist that takes advantage of him for years. Loses his brothers. Still has to deal with his faggot cousin.

Then meets a a good women who gets him away from all the bullshit until she dies and he follows her not even later.

Ironically he died during the current battle of Los Angeles .

RIP in Brian.

Brian Wilson was a horrorcow before the term.
Seeing an awful lot of 40-something bearded hipster types who post in zoomerspeak ("Brian Wilson, RIP to da GOAT, best to ever do it, fr fr") giving tribute to Wilson who only seem to know about him via "quirky" anecdotes shared on Reddit ("oh man he was obsessed with the song 'Shortenin' Bread', ha ha! He was too crazy for Iggy Pop to deal with, ha ha!") and a very surface view of him and his career and act like his mental illness was a cute quirky trait they can relate to because they've gone to therapy. You know, instead of it being made worse by having a quack take control over his life for years and turn his brain into applesauce from overmedication.

Yeah, he was suffering from severe mental illness. He fried his brain before the years of medication. He tried selling his kids drugs. He was held hostage by a therapist for years. For the final 15 years of his life he was obviously in a Joe Biden situation and his family was covering it up. He was being elder abused at the end and being trotted out on stage in a walker. It’s not that funny but a lot of hipster manchildren who've only probably ever listened to "Pet Sounds" treat his mental illness as if it is some quirky wholesome chungus shit.

Also, say what you will about Mike Love and there is a LOT that can be said, but it's funny that Brian Wilson could wreck his brain with drugs and derail SMiLE by fucking around with farm animal noises for months or whatever and Mike Love gets all the blame by asking “do you think this will do well in the charts” a few times.

Harris Yulin, actor in the movies Scarface, Training Day, Ozark, and more died at the age of 87.
Fuck, man :(

The first thing I ever saw him in was Ghostbusters 2, playing the grouchy-ass judge at the start of the movie who changed his tune towards the GBs real fast once his rage empowered the return of two criminals he'd sentenced to the electric chair years prior. Quirky, but it stuck in my mind because he did a great job playing it.

Dude had an illustrious career. RIP, lad.

That being said, Mike Love is still a cunt.
