I can understand why someone would experience a sense of loss related to his passing.
Yeah, but the person I replied to was making a snarky-ass, passive-aggressive comment about an unrelated group instead of lauding the person who passed.

And, please read and understand what my statements are saying within context before replying with whatever virtue-signaling agenda you plan to push.

June Lockhart is gone. She was the mom in Lassie and Lost in Space and one of the last surviving actors from the Golden Age of Hollywood.

She's the one actress that I admit I kept looking up recently because I wanted to know if she was still alive. Mostly because I couldn't believe how old she was, and that she was one of the only remaining grown adults from Lost In Space that seemed to be still around.

RIP.

Fawlty Towers actress Prunella Scales dies aged 93

Story by Matt Watts and Lisa McLoughlin

Actress Prunella Scales, best known for her role as Sybil in Fawlty Towers, has died aged 93.

Scales, who was married to fellow actor Timothy West for over 60 years, had been living with Alzheimer’s disease since her diagnosis in 2013.

Her sons Samuel and Joseph confirmed she “died peacefully at home in London on Monday, surrounded by family.”

A statement to the PA news agency said: “Our darling mother Prunella Scales died peacefully at home in London yesterday. She was 93.

“Although dementia forced her retirement from a remarkable acting career of nearly 70 years, she continued to live at home.

“She was watching Fawlty Towers the day before she died,” it continued. ...

This has to be one of the worst celebrity deaths for me. I've listened to Pierre for decades. He was on the air for over 40 years. I hard it announced over the air this afternoon after wondering why there was no DJ on. It's very sudden. He was just on the air yesterday. Huge shoes to fill. The station will never be the same. There's still a lot of great DJs there. But he was the heart of the whole thing.

Likewise, i've been listening to WMMR for 18 years. Pierre was great. Met him once awhile back. Just happened to tune to WMMR as Preston was starting to make the announcement.

Same here, I was in the area for over 20 years and loved listening to Pierre after Preston & Steve. Met him once or twice as well at various events and what an utterly nice dude. RIP, Good Citizen.

Maria Riva, TV actress and only daughter of German actress Maria Riva, died at the age of 100.
Thank you for that. Now, I want to get her Marlene Dietrich tell-all book. 100 years old, what a blessing.

I'd probably be conflicted about Dietrich given how Riva witnessed all of Dietrich's elitism. I heard Riva even witnesses orgy parties under her watch.
