A neuroscientist who pioneered a method of treating depression with electromagnetic stimulation, died of…suicide. At 43.

RIP. Sadly he didn't live long enough to finde a cure for depression.

But he still did great work even if like the article states more research is needed. The treatment he pioneered is still in the development phase but it sounds promising and has already improved the lives of people suffering from depression.

I hope his work is carried on. Millions of people could benefit from it!

Nolan Ryan Williams — his father, a baseball fan, named him after the Hall of Fame pitcher Nolan Ryan
Just want to note that the famed pitcher's given name is actually Lynn, not Nolan.

Not to speculate too much, but maybe that contributed to his depression; his lifestyle was like the character Michael Bolton from Office Space. That, and his dad named him after another man who wasn't even related to the family. Quite a cuck move, IMHO.

The shooter, Cedric Irving Jr., is a usual suspect for Oakland, btw. Naturally the article doesn't mention this:

Brave man coaching in such a hostile environment. RIP.

Aoraki, son of Japanese race horse Gold Ship, fell during a race on the Fukushima track today. He suffered a fatal injury in his left foreleg. They removed him, but he couldn't be saved. All the articles about it are in Japanese.

His jockey, Daijin Ozawa, is said to be in the hospital with a head injury.
