Damn. He really was a great Watson, maybe the best I've ever seen. I was sad that he didn't return for the rest of the Granada series, even though Edward Hardwicke filled his shoes quite well.

One of those situations where merely saying "He didn't get lost in the background with Brett as Holmes" is really all the praise you can heap.Damn. A legend.
Joe Sedelmaier, the prominent commercial director responsible for iconic television spots such as the Wendy’s “where’s the beef?” campaign, died of natural causes at his Lincoln Park, Chicago, home on May 8 at the age of 92, according to WBEZ.
People who haven't watched that Granada series have no idea how great it was, how superb Jeremy Brett was, and finally, how perfect David Burke was as Dr. Watson.
Damn, that sucks. I love "On the Cover of the Rolling Stone" and just bought a 7" single of it last night.
Dennis Locorriere, singer and guitarist of the rock band Dr. Hook, died at the age of 76.
“Sylvia’s Mother” is a fantastic song and Locorriere’s voice brings the pathos. Bummer.

Tom Kane's voice was a huge part of my childhood and teenage years. He voiced Yoda in basically every Star Wars project of the 21st century other than the movies, and he voiced Yularen in the second Clone Wars series and a TON of other characters, including Admiral Ackbar and Qui-Gon. He voiced Takeo Masaki in COD Zombies, Jim Gordon in Arkham Asylum, and Gandalf and Magneto in a bunch of LOTR and Marvel video games, and he did voice work for Cow and Chicken, Johnny Bravo, I Am Weasel, Wild Thornberrys, Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends, Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy, Avatar, Teen Titans, The Boondocks, Archer, Robot Chicken...hell, he was even the announcer for the second season of the Eric Andre Show, voiced Dr. Loomis in Halloween H20, and announced the Academy Awards four times.
He had a stroke a few years ago that really fucked him up to the point that he retired from voice acting. I remember seeing this picture from a recent con because it was one of the few public appearances he'd made since then, and it was a big deal because the original VAs for Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup were there too, as you can see in the photo.
even though takeo was by far the worst one in zombies he was still pretty coolTom Kane's voice was a huge part of my childhood and teenage years. Thanks for all the memories, Tom. I'm gonna be sad for a little while today.
Gonna go cry for a while... Goddamnit.
