As someone who was a loyal viewer of his, this one stings a bit more than most. My thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family.

I second that. This hit me really badly. And I wouldn't really even call myself a huge fan, but fairly loyal (since finding him in 2014).

Haruo Nakajima -- from 1954 until 1973 he played the King of the badass Kaiju -- Godzilla (or Gojira, for the traditionalist). He passed away yesterday, during TKU-Tv's three day Kaiju marathon and I can't think of a more perfect tribute.

He created the role of Godzilla 9 years after the Surrender of Japan, when Toho studios was nothing but a postwar pile of rubble and gave voice to a nation terrified of nuclear attack and spawned a film genre that so many of us grew up on and still remain huge fans (yup, Mama Cats is a Kaiju Groupie of the first magnitude) I'm so honored to have met and laughed with him and I loved him. I feel like I've lost my dad all over again. Banzai, Nakajima-Sama, you WILL live Ten Thousand Years! You are Ichiban!

Barbara Cook, famous Broadway actress and singer, died on Tuesday, the 8th. She was 89...

I didn't know who she was but apparently she was a talented lady. RIP, ya old bitch.

And it's a shame that Broadway celebs aren't as recognized and appreciated as the A-list silver screen ones. I've seen numerous plays and musicals on BW and these people are truly gifted and preform their asses off. They don't nearly get the respect that they deserve.
