I've seen nothing outside the blog post you linked and a blog post from his biggest obsessed A-log stalker child mentioning his death. I figure the Wikipedia jannies would be all over smugly changing his status to "deceased" if it really happened. Are there any other sources for this news?

IIRC Tubi has a doco about them (I think it’s even called ‘Pretend we’re dead’) that ended with their last album being bulldozed into landfill because they couldn’t afford to pay for the duplicating, packaging and distribution.

Congenital deafness is a thing. According to a different article I read it goes back 4 straight generations on the dad's side which makes me think either they're really, really unlucky, or they're part of that weird ass deaf sub-culture that does that shit deliberately because of muh deaf culture and heritage.
Resident Goad haydur Matt Forney also posted about Goad on his Xitter, saying he thinks it was a suicide. It wouldn't surprise me, honestly, but Goad also had health problems.

Knowing it would make people happy would be enough to stop him from killing himself in almost any circumstance. Actual last resort or emergency, sure. He was decisive.

This made me sad. I have a backlog of a few episodes to listen to and John is the highlight of the show for me. Now I know after the few episodes I have left it just won't be the same.
Just last week he made me chuckle in the crew lounge while I was doing paperwork and prompted me to "hit someone in the mouth" (told the guy sitting across from me about the show when he asked what I was listening to).
Mike Preston, actor known for staring in the movie Mad Max 2: The Road Warrior as settler leader Pappagallo, died at the age of 93 on June 8th of this year. Also that is the second death this year, relating to Mad Max 2.
