My lovely highschool physics teacher died this week. She had recovered from lung and brain cancer, but died due to complications from pneumonia. I would like to attend her memorial service in my hometown, but I will be graduating from my university during that time. *sigh*

Christopher Lee is, to put it bluntly, my single favourite actor of all time

He has been in some of the greatest, most epic, most intriguing, most funny, most classic, most terrifying, and most genre-defining films of all time. He gleefully accepted roles in self confessed schlock for the fun of it, lent his voice to heavy metal bands while in his 90s, and spent his entire life as an actor, and the single most prolific actor in human history at that.

More than that he was a commando whose actions in WW2 are still classified, a writer, and a truly beautiful human being. He lived one of the fullest, richest lives one can imagine, and I am so fucking glad for all he gave us during it, even If I am sad his passing now marks the passing of one of the last great scions of classic 20th century cinema

Rest in peace you magnificent bastard. You have more than earned it

RIP Christopher Lee :(

Damn, Christopher Lee. I mean, 93 is a good innings, but still. He achieved so much with his life, it's amazing.

I just found out through KH13; he was also the original (English) VA for Ansem the Wise.
