Rise of the Ronin

So I'm in chapter 3. Just got to Kyoto. Game is fun. It isn't reinventing the wheel by any means. A nagjnata and pair of knives would have been a fun weapon option. I want a blade parasol moveset. Make it dlc

It feels alive by 2018 standards. Nothing you've never not seen before. It is jarring that even non Japanese characters....still speak only in Japanese. The environments are beautiful, especially the brothels with the geisha and the many many rooms. There's even an oiran or two walking about.

Graphics could definitely be more polished tho. Like I can't even get footprints in the dirt/sand etc. Rolling and getting muddy is a nice touch. Underwater breath control is too short. Horse needs an auto option. And some of the design choices are baffling in the sense that there's one particular thing you wanna get to but you wrack your brain figuring out how to get there.

Dialogue choices are pretty useless as are the rewards for each side. You will die. A lot. Even on Dawn. Counterspark was great in act 1 but ever since then it gets more difficult. Expect to be thrashed about plenty.

Encyclopedia is great and it updates as you play. Take notes ubisoft/sega/atlus ffs.

Overall its a very fun experience but it is repetitive. I appreciate the work and care they put into it but it is in need of a few small qol improvements. Oh and the death of a major character so early is retarded. What a waste. At least you get their outfit to wear.
