I've counted, and I believe that this is roughly the 1,756,978th time that Bob has celebrated the death of an American industry, saying that it's something people aren't relying on as much, only for it to turn out that yes, America (and Bob's lifestyle) DOES rely on it, it's just that we're importing most of it from China now. (You know, China - that liberal bastion of human rights and pro-environmentalism.)

I look forward to seeing the day that Bob celebrates the failure and shut-down of his local sewage plant ("Yay! It has nothing at all to do with the fact that it's a rapidly evolving industry that has expanded far beyond what you liked as a kid, and that you can't except it because your a mentally impaired exceptional individual who has this creepy obsession with Mario and has the most extremist brand loyalty that I have ever witnessed in a person.

I'm not really sure why a movie critic would care about the Oscars. That might sound silly but it's well established that the results don't mean anything and even the woke crowd has pointed out that it's a circlejerk for a bunch of old people. Maybe it'd hold some value if you're really into celebrities but that's about it. I can only guess it's because he thinks that the Oscars is something that gives him legitimacy as a movie critic.

You'd think that makes them "Obsolete" in his world view as they serve no function and the competition aspects are almost as pretend as the movies they star in.

I liked Black Panther I liked it a lot but Bob can yap all he wants Black Panther doesn't deserves any Oscar nods the story is good but nothing deserving of an Oscar nod, while it had some great special effects it also had some awful ones and thus doesn't deserve any technical nods, and as for acting while Michael B. Jordan was good if he gets one when Patrick Stewart didn't for Logan that's criminal.
