I think he's fully aware but holds contempt for anyone that points it out. Ages ago he tweeted about how underrated the Mario Bros Movie was and couldn't understand why someone wasn't in love with it. The guy basically responded that he was no longer a 12 year old boy. Blobbers all too predictable response was a rant about how it was typical for a white American audience not to understand how Japanese context translates to western cinema blah blah blah.....

I had always assumed that Bob (like most nerds) didn't care for drugs in any form outside of the occasional energy drink. While Bob is the stereotypical fedora tipper, I have a hard time imagining him getting stoned or even hanging out with people who would. I'm sure I'm not the only one here that was sceptical of his chinatown hotel lobby story when I first saw it.

I don't know if he has just kept his drinking habits a secret all these years (something I doubt given how he volunteers information), if he developed a taste for it recently, or if he's picked up the bottle to drown the sorrows of his slowly failing health and career.

I imagine Bob might be lying about his drinking exploits just because in his mind it makes him sound cool and hardcore. Not like an out of control drunk which is what all these stories actually make him sound like.
