For example, I could compare Bob to Hitler insofar as their ideologies align, but that would be insulting to Hitler since he managed to take over and run an entire country while Bob has.... a library of terrible youtube videos and a mountain of tweets as his accomplishments.

I mean I saw the video and Bob has at least one point I agree with in regards to how the hell did the evil government gained power when it seems in the game that literally every random passerby can be recruited against them, implying there is no approval of the government.
Other than that, the video is cringe with Bob placing a stock sound effect everytime he says politics as though he thinks people who watch his videos are surprised about him getting political, and going on large tangents about how literally everything is political. Even saying that Mario is political because there is a princess.

It's the easiest way to argue politics for the people who want to appear like they think deeply about important topics without actually having to take the time to understand them. Just label anyone who opposes you as something you don't like then dismiss them because they are that thing you labeled them. So you can just say "There is no point in discussing because they are just ________ and not worth engaging". Very few people actually want their opinions and ideas challenged, especially the insecure ones like Bob.

OK, time for a tiny bit of a rant because this really grinds my gears when idiots talk about evolution. First: evolution isn't towards something, it's away from something, as a species is pressured by whatever is currently killing it to gain and lose traits in order to stop dying quite so much (or at least breeding first.) Second: "progress towards being better" is true only inasmuch as "better" is entirely contextual: what increases survivability right now. There is no forward vision, plan, or end goal in evolution, it's merely the semi-random output of the eternal cosmic butcher's yard (thanks, Nick Land) that is reproduction plus mortality.
Like a lot of people who fucking love science, I'm guessing Bob doesn't understand evolution beyond a few catchphrases. Worse, he might read X-Men comics and not understand that this is in fact the precise opposite of how IRL evolution works.

Exactly. I imagine you didn't mention it because it'd be too much to get into but it doesn't even have to be "preventing stuff from killing you". Tons of things can cause relatively harmless mutations that could add up over time. We're certainly going to see weird shit pop up in people from time to time considering humanity is in a weird spot with pretty low mortality rates. Just have to be able to survive and procreate.
Ironically the X-Men aren't "natural evolution" in the context of the comics either. Like most superhumans (or any human really), they're result of gene editing from giant god robots who visited Earth long ago. People get it wrong all the time due to adaptations either not bringing it up or they just know the X-Men from pop culture memes. It's also why aliens tend to have "human" body shapes.

Bob's idea of evolution isn't particular to him alone - even Star Trek got crazy notions in its head about how evolution worked (like when the forces of "evolution" transformed a person into a hypothetical future or alternate timeline form, and if you know anything about evolution, you know that it can't work in a single creature's lifetime.) The Prime Directive is also set up to not interfere with the natural progress of a race, on the assumption that some force out there must be guiding its development and it's best not to interfere with it. So it's not surprising that Bob has this idea of evolution being a power used by some inexorable force to bring about a Superior Future. (Although Bob's an atheist and such a force by necessity, cannot exist in his world view.)
Some right wing thinkers view Progressivism as nothing more than a form of High Church Protestantism/Puritanism that ditched God for being too much of an out of touch fuddy-duddy, and replaced Him with some notion of unstoppable progress, which would bring about Heaven on Earth. (To the Protestants, Heaven was the New Jerusalem and the Shining City on a Hill, to Progressives, it's brain uploading and Luxury Space Communism.)
