Its kinda funny, Im more casual to TMNT person and even I know they tried to have a fek turtle with that short lived TV series. So, theres your shocker Bobo why nobody screams shit, though wont lie I am curious to check the IDW comics, since that design looks kinda nice.

Exactly my stance, I don't know enough about the current run to judge the story, but the art is better than some of the stuff I've seen Marvel put out recently.

I don't gonna bother to even watch for than five minutes of this shit. How shit is this take?

Bob starts off by talking about how they've added a new female ninja turtle, and then expresses suprise how no one is upset. He never comes out and says it, but he implies the reason people don't like female tokenism taking over is they are dudebro misogynistic pissbabies.

Then he goes off on some tangent about ninja turtles comic books series canon. I'd go more in depth, but he talks very fast and never really seemed to tie it back to the new character; I wasn't sure if he actually knows and expects you to, or he just read a summary on wikipedia and thinks that by moving fast he can cover up not knowing anything because you don't have time to interpret what he's saying. Then he splices in clips from the 80's live action movie/tv show, that he again never actually ties back to the new character but instead focuses on a completely different character, this one a human with a hockey stick. Then he splices in an older video about previous female ninja turtle they tried to add. Apparently she had turtle boobs and was in a love triangle with two of the regular turtles.

There is no comparison to why this character is well recieved versus others who weren't, and nothing he says ties back to whatever point he was trying to make. It was stream of thought without any thought. You didn't miss anything.

Probably not. Too be honest I'm still not entirely sure who she is, and I watched the entire 8 minutes. Bob never stayed on a single point for more than 20 seconds, and barely talked about the character. I can't even recall her name, because he was that confusing.

I have a five year old nephew whose a hundred times more lucid in whatever he's trying to tell you, and even his weird child logic connects better than Bob's hockey mask man was radical to something about feudal Japan to female ninja turtle.

This sounds vaguely self-insert-ish.

Honestly, the concepts of mutations went all over the place in the TMTN world, we had Baxter become part fly because he wasn't properly disintegrated, we had people mutate in one TMTN show because they were close to whatever animal/plant an etc.

I got the first hardcover collection a while back, and so far that particular run is pretty damn good IMO. I'm not up to speed with what's currently going on, but I'd hate if they're starting to ruin it with social justice bullshit.
