It’s been said a million times, but I find it ironic Bob scolds Trump voters for being weak when he has done the following:

Stop me if you heard this one before. Someone with a popular (for it's time, in it's niche) internet show that decided they wanted to do a skit comedy and serial story line show. They put that shit in their popular show despite the fans hating it. There was even a blip channel back in the day called "Game Overeditor" that reposted Game Overthinker episodes with the skits and story scenes edited out.

This also coincided with a sharp decline in the show in general. He was always opinionated, but his show went from interesting to complaining about Call of Duty and browbeating "gamers" for liking things outside of first party Nintendo games.

There's also Mirrodin, which is a sort of magitech wasteland, Ravnica, which is a detailed exploration of what happens when a classic fantasy world becomes completely urbanized (which should be right up Robert's alley, TBH), Lorwyn was a mostly idyllic fantasy world setting except that it had fucking Nazi elves and regularly transformed into a mirror universe dark fantasy version of itself where everyone else was evil and only the elves were good, the world based on ancient Greek mythology, the world based on ancient Japanese mythology...

Even the main setting went through some really distinct time periods that were far from generic. The Urza block had a magitech renaissance, followed by a magitech war, there was the magical ice age...

MTG has always excelled at creating really cool worlds. It has tons of them. The stories told within those worlds aren't always so great IMHO, but the world building itself is pretty top notch. It's very obvious that Robert knows next to nothing about the lore of the game, but still acts like he's an authority on it, like he does with everything else.

I don't think this is about any particular issue. Bob has made this argument before to defend his batshit idea that "The REAL Working Class of the 21st century.....THAT MATTERS" is people working at Starbucks or HuffPo journalists.
