He's not going to get anywhere near the number of followers on his main account. Most of those followers are inactive accounts and people who only follow him to laugh at him.
And again, he really wants to control who responds to him with that new feature. He abuses it on his checkmarked channel.
The fuck is "grok"?
Faggot is using Stranger From a Strange Land by Heinlein to pretend he's a real people nerd. Grok's a Martian word that is a mix between understand/empathize/feel. He's just pretending he reads books and isn't a smoothbrain who only reads wikis and thesauruses at best.

Robocop before 2030

It's good to see that Bob has finally realized what Robocop is about almost 40 years after release. It's only a film he described as his all time favorite, so it makes sense he only just got it.

Or maybe he didn't realize that Apple and other big tech are the evil mega corporations until now. I don't know which is worse.

My guess is that he stumbled across it on a wiki somewhere and now he's using it every chance he gets like those prats that have a "word-of-the-day" calendar.

According to https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/grok

>Grok may be the only English word that derives from Martian. Yes, we do mean the language of the planet Mars. No, we're not getting spacey; we've just ventured into the realm of science fiction. "Grok" was introduced in Robert A. Heinlein's 1961 science fiction novel Stranger in a Strange Land. The book's main character, Valentine Michael Smith, is a Martian-raised human who comes to earth as an adult, bringing with him words from his native tongue and a unique perspective on the strange, strange ways of earthlings. "Grok" was quickly adopted by the youth culture of America and has since peppered the vernacular of those who grok it, from the hippies of the '60s to the computerniks of the '90s.

It was coined by Robert A. Heinlein †1988 American author

Hey Robert, its based on the bible.

King Arthur seems to be his go to for Smart pants pop culture analysis comparison.

I remember Robert saying that Star Wars was also a King Arthur-esque story, because he is too much of a big brain to say "Flash Gordon with Kurosawa" like everybody else.

But the reason on why people say that Star wars is just "Flash Gordon with Kurosawa" is because George Lucas himself said that, more so, Lucas wasn't particuarly well read, he drew his inspirations on what was very popular at the time, and while Kurosawa movies today have the honorifics of high art, back in the 70's, his Samurai Movies were just a notch above the grindhouse schlock. And so Robert drawns comparison between Arthur and Star wars because "Sword and sorcery".

I never read or seen any of the Harry Potter movies, but I know the hero started out as a mistreated orphan in a household of commoners. But I did read "Le Morte d'Arthur" the most concise adaptation of the folk stories of king Arthur and in the books Arthur was never a servant, Arthur was raised like a son of a lord, when his father, the King Uther, lost his throne. So the comparison doesn't really match....

Ah wait, wait, I remember when Arthur was a servant:

There we go! Disney shit Robert. Big Brains galaxy take here, Harry Potter continues the proud tradition of British legends, by taking the disney version.

The idiot was so eager to sound smart and put together Harry Potter and king Arthur that he never bothered to even look if these two stories had anything in common besides superficial traits, like wizards. Good shit Robert.

Trump didn't say to shoot protestors, he didn't collude with Russia, he didn't mock a reporter's disability, he didn't say to drink bleach, he didn't say nazis were good people, he didn't say he'd date his own daughter, he didn't say microwave ovens were spying on people, he didn't say Ted Cruz killed Kennedy, he didn't say the crowd at his inauguration was the biggest ever, etc etc etc

At some point you just have to throw your hands up and accept the fact that Bob can't criticize Donald Trump, because he doesn't even know what the guy even says.
He just hates some made-up fabrication built entirely in his head and supported by a fake marketed narrative.
And he just does it because he's such a pathetic loser that he needs to believe that he's a better person by comparison.

Imagine being a morbidly obese nobody, who contributes nothing of value to society and even trying to pretend that you're better than a billionaire president. Sad!

See the one thing I don't get out of this is "Science is Real"?

Who else but Bob and his Chipman brood would think this is something necessary to say?

It's because Bob Chipman and a lot of SJW's in general tend to be stuck in 2004 and still think that the opposition are a bunch of Protestant traditionalists who want Young Earth Creationism taught in the schools alongside abstinence-only sex ed.

Never mind that the Religious Right has been dead since the late 2000's and is only relevant as a spectral media boogeyman and as part of the origin story for the current SJW movement.

The Left says they're the "Party of Science" so they can maintain a sense of intellectual legitimacy, but that only worked when the Right was the purview of neoconservatives and traditionalists.

The more extreme Climate Change denialists are really the only remnant of that movement that still has any relevance today, and that's only because the Millennial Left has politicized climate research and environmentalism to such an insane degree these days.

Bit late, but the term "grok" is/was fairly common in hacker culture. I'd guess that's more likely where Bob ran across it, since it's kind of osmosis'd into the wider internet from there.

I'd bet against that.

"Grok" was a pretty common term in SF fandom; "I Grok Spock" was a popular bumper sticker / t-shirt back in the days between the old series and the motion picture. It was popular enough that using it does not suggest familiarity with Stranger in a Strange Land, any more than knowing what "power armor" is suggests familiarity with Starship Troopers.

That's probably why he's so pissy about the riots. All the red states he despises are opening up, having barbecues and going to the beach while the small handful of blue states he loves and doesn't consider worthy of extermination are all burning to ashes or under strict lockdown, or both.

Worse yet, they're burning they all the fast food places! Soon, MovieBob will either have to drive 40 minutes into a DISGUSTING RURAL HELLHOLE to get a Big Mac, or he'll have to get to a health food joint! NOOOOO!
Everything up to the looting of the Target makes sense if the rumor of them denying selling them milk for the tear gas effects, which I don't actually know if it's true, but everything else is just human nature venting their frustrations.
I understand the mentality: "If I'm getting punished whether I behave or not why should I?" but they can't stop now, they had a perfect get out when the cop was arrested, they didn't took it.
They put all their cards on their table, they're worth jackshit and now they're just bluffing.

Even if they denied the rioters milk, they didn't deserve to be burnt down.

Rioting and looting stores that have nothing to do with police brutality just makes BLM look like a violent organization and will just lead to more militarized police that doesn't trust protesters, as these ones loot liquor stores and burn down housing complexes.
