There are a lot of parallels between the Red Guard and SJWs, the biggest one being that they are both useful idiots who were manipulated by the elites to bolster their control over their respective nations.

But in the end, the Chinese government had to disband the Red Guard because they were becoming more of a liability than an asset. If history repeats itself, we're going to get quite the shit show.

There is one difference between the Red Guards and SJWs: The Red Guards did not think of themselves as elites -- if anything they were anti-intellectual. Basically a violent, mindless horde, they have given up their autonomy to serve "the revolution" and they understood it. SJWs, on the contrary, think they have an intellectual underpinning and autonomy (even though these are, to any sane person, delusional), and that means they're harder to get rid of should it become politically expedient to do so.

For the uninitiated: Andrea Bocelli is a very successful opera figure with an unbelievable set of pipes. His story is one of overcoming adversity. He was born with poor eyesight and completely lost it due to a brain hemorrhage when he was 12. Think about that. Losing your eye sight doing kid stuff? Despite his record label packaging him as such, Bocelli is not an opera singer by any stretch of imagination: he can't even sing without a mic. He is more of a easy-listening crooner; a higher-brow Paul Anka is how I put it.
