How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

Bob and his ilk use fictional characters, products and substances as proxies for relationships. That’s why he gets teary-eyed about a cartoon plumber but has sat alone in a basement every day of his life, just him, Mario, movie posters, PBR and 15,000 calories of junk food daily.

Jesus, i laughed. I mean yeah, there are certain things like that I think back to. Some dumb computer game I used to play with my Grandpa always makes me wistful everytime I think about it. But I sure as fuck don't insist that it is an important part of childhood or even my life. It is incidental to my memories of my grandfather.

Which I think has become the problem. Some people think that pop culture are the memories. It seems like an easy mistake to make. A lot memories are made adjacent to these things. Me and my Dad used to play vidya a lot together. But, I would never insist my children play TMNT on the Genesis and cry when it happens. Because it was simply just that we both liked video games. We could have played fucking Custers Revenge and it would still be that same quality time.

It can even sometimes be a hard separation. Like Lord of the Rings was a big deal to me growing up, and my Dad always pointing out that Sam was the real hero because he was just the most selfless and his bravery and just every quality a good person should possess.

But, like I know that there is a step here these people are missing. Like the Harry Potter weirdos jamming in comparisons everywhere. I am sorry for my sperging, but these are just broken people and I have to know why dammit!
To sum up a deeper point: People have become unmoored from history and legacy. With no solid foundation, they retreat into the familiar that triggers happy memories, rather than embrace the weight of history and carry it forward.

Now Bobby shares us his mathematical insight, in an area not any more scientific than astrology:

"I can delete it if you prefer", this is how Bobby brown-noses a BIPOC who is sorta famous in "game journalism".

The "white working class curdled into racist resentment in the face of the world's evolution toward globalism" tweet is extremely hard to contextualize. It is from a discussion, a fucking long one, between three dumb-dumbs (the most sensible one being a BLMer. Go figure!) and Bobby goes off a tangent at a drop of a hat. I'll try my best:

So anyone against MediCare For All is my enemy, "a walking tumor", but some of my enemy can be redeemed -- all he has to do is to be Obama or Biden.
1.png
Obama was against gay marriage, yet he is still part of the Globalist Superior Future -- unlike Trump, and unlike those rust belt working class whites!
89.png
And Biden is a Trojan Horse that promises to bring in such political ransomware as Harris and AOC. Install him immediately!

9.png
What a gentleman Joe Biden is! Saving a weak, shrinking violet of a BIPOC woman the "indignity of campaigning"!

Focus on the two lumps on AOC's chest, and you gaze into our Collectivist Superior Future, where Leftists do Capitalism better than the right!

I must tip my hat to Manny Bothans, who is able to distill Bobby's gibberish into "Sell-out Capitalism".

Bobby is doing that strange two-account rebuttal again. The OP is an offshoot of the massive thread above:

Yet Bobby chose to deliver his sick burn on his "private" account.
He did not expect that his opponent brought out his kryptonite!
890.png

Poor Diabeto! No one came to rescue him on a Rascal scooter, not even a BLMer!
88.png

As you might expect between two BLMers, the discussion gets dumber as it goes. Bobby wants to use the Capitalist infrastructure to further his megalomaniac ambition:

So let's round up the discussion with a little joke:

Labor union laws have "zero unintended side effects"!

Bobby, a Gen-Xer, gives you the straight dope about his cohort:

Indeed Gen-X was the generation that defined their identity through niche consumption. This was the time that gave us such things as Yuppies and Bobos

Gourmet Bob:

Is Bob still rambling about the glorious virtues of globalism? Has he not made the connection between the global pandemic that "ruined [his] summer" and an over-reliance on globalized industries and travel? How does he square up his love for automation with the fact that globalizing "automated" industries would just waste time, money and resources with shipping?

Holy shit, i love that one. The moment Diabetis is mentioned around Bob he inmediately thinks "You must be stalking me like all bad people in this world" and not "He talked about a general problem that affects a large amount of the population... Including myself, so i should know what he really means by that".

Also, I laughed a lot when he said "How dry and unseasoned that steak is". Does he want all his steaks drenched in abhorrent amounts of sauce the moment they hit his plate?

That snotty little "someone didn't do the reading" quip of Bob's shows why he has so few fans. Not only would someone need to share his particular flavor of dumb to not be repelled by his politics, but they would also need to have no self-respect to endure his loathsome smuggery.

Labor union laws have "zero unintended side effects"!

This is what passes for sarcasm for Bob. He's actually making a stock laissez-faire capitalist talking point about unions, namely union links to organized crime. I'm not going to comment about that except to note that it's exactly what you expect to hear from a Randroid, even a malfunctioning one like Bob.

I think this is the number one most loathsome quality Bob possesses. The constant smug, arrogant tone would be just about bearable for someone who’d earned the right to feel so superior to everyone — i.e. a person who is successful, i.e. not Bob at any point in his lifetime thus far. If he ever left the basement, he’d be at risk of getting his ass kicked daily. (I’m sure that tweet about people taking swings at him was accurate until he got to the part where he supposedly swung back. Though I guess he didn’t claim to have ever landed a punch.)

I'm surprised he didn't ended up hurting himself if that was the case. Bob always damages his reputation when he opens his mouth, even when it's a fairly inocuous and easy to grasp topic. It would be normal for him to hurt himself when he does something physical

And his opponent doesn't even say "Bob you're diabetic"; he merely states the fact that obesity and diabetes are especially rampant among the poor in some part of the States. Imagine taking offense from that!

Bob combines a complete lack of self-awareness with a lifetime of leading a 100% self-centered existence. It’s all about him, all the time. He doesn’t realize how much of his accusations of selfishness and cruelty, lobbed at anyone to the right of AOC, are pure projection. Bob is a selfish cunt and assumes everyone else is too.

Well of course he's upset, you're lumping him in with the poor. Bob is one of those people who regard themselves as merely "temporarily embarrassed millionaires" rather than actually poor, which is why he cheerleads for corporations and billionaires. He is always careful to make dishonest shrug emojis when discussing the power of wealth with leftists like, "I know, but what you gonna do?". But in his heart, he actually wants the rich to be all-powerful, because he believes that one day he will be one of them. I mean, just look at tweets like this:

Or this:
bob tombstone.png
He embraced Objectivism when he was younger because he was a selfish shit who rejected God and believed in Social Darwinism, and the only real change he has made to his worldview is that he's bolted on some IdPol shit to it. Economically, though, he is a right-winger and a rather nasty one to boot. And this is not really atypical of his crowd of neoliberal SocJusers, but nearly all of them hide it better than he does.

I think that’s just Bob living in the dream world of his head, based on what he’s consoomed from video games and movies. How does he “love the tropics” he’s never been to? It’s pure fantasy. Jesus his grasp on reality is more tenuous than I realized if he’s claiming mega-mansions and pyramids are “[his] scene.” Bob’s actual scene is the diarrhea-splattered toilet of his basement after inhaling spoiled Mountain Dew chicken. The closest he’s gotten to a pyramid is the MLM schemes his fellow mayo ghoul family members try to shill to him.

It's pretty funny how one of our major political parties is basically just Bob's agenda and preferences. If you disagree, Colbert did an edit of Avengers Endgame so you're wrong.
Bob hated Bernie so Bernie lost. Bob likes Biden so Biden won.

I could imagine Bob living in a castle and feared by the locals, but in a "Rats in the Walls" kind of way. I imagine him capturing Mayonnaise Ghouls and Trump supporters, and frying them in Mountain Dew for his unholy feasts.

It was in one of the very early Game OverThinker episodes. Like one of the first 10. I think he was talking about Resident Evil 5 and the RaCiSm controversy.

He sais something like "Africa is a beautiful country with a rich history."

Found it! “Africa is a beautiful country with a rich and storied history.” Go to 2:35 or thereabouts (on mobile and can’t do bookmarked link):

I haven’t watched any further but holy shit, he’s made some ill-advised comments about Mexicans and black people already.

ETA: I watched it and he fantasizes about lesbian pussy eating and leers at Rachel Weisz’s tits, then says the fact that white people don't realize racism still exists is proof of progress or something. Let’s just say TalkieBob 2020 would rip TalkieBob 2008 to shreds for this and call him a racist subhuman.
