I take some solace that the vast majority of his defenders are teenagers. His fanbase has gotten noticeably younger over time, and I think it's because a lot of people are simply growing up and realizing that filtering your entire worldview through how you were bullied as a high schooler is retarded.

Generally speaking, Bob is the very definition of a pseudo-intellectual. The concepts he bandies about he can barely understand with any sort of nuance and he almost always misinterprets the dictionary definition of concepts. His arguments are nonsensical and contradictory (supporting eugenics at the same time as wishing strength was no longer valued) and hilariously oblivious (espousing eugenics when he himself is obese and diabetic).

His film analysis is idotic, the most cringy fan-boyish shit in the world. The only people who could possibly enjoy them are autistic fanboys themselves. He offers no real deep analysis (see his defense of the turd 'Sucker Punch'. If you need to spot a retard, its anyone defending a Zac Snyder film) than other autistic fanboys.

He desperately wants to be smart and deep, but it comes off as being woefully naive and completely ignorant about anything he spouts.

You can tell how unintelligent and egotistical a person is by how much of their time in videos and comics is spent bitching at other people rather than the topic at hand or the subject of what they tout their work to be.

Bob spends way to much time taking potshots at his personal boogeymen to ever be a good video maker. He can't separate his life from his work because he takes everything personally.

Here's the thing about so-called "edgelord phases"; You get to regret them only if you had them at around 15 years old. If you are, say, a late-30's adult, doesn't matter if you live in somebody else's basement or have never touched a tit in your life, you are expected to think the shit that comes out of your pie-stuffed mouth because presumably you mean it, otherwise you can shut the fuck up if you don't want to take any responsibility for those words.

I wonder why did people like Bob go so far into one extreme in the past few years.If you watch the videos of SJW pop culture nerds like him or Lindsay Ellis say back in 2010 or so they were nicer somewhat.There was far less biterness or anger in their tone.
My theory is that they're getting older and they're starting to realise it.The biterness in the pop culture media like Collegehumor,Cracked or internet movie reviewers started to make itself felt after 2011.Basically once Obama ,their idol because make no mistake for most SJW's Obama is a de facto idol, proved himself to the average american to be just another politician the SJW minded folks started losing it and their only explanation was because he's black that's why so many folks in say Michigan don't like him .
Add to that their increasing age because you do notice in their twitter comments frequent talk of 'Oh my god i'm 30!!!' it was inevitable that their attitude would change.Still its weird to see how bitter they've become.At this rate i do wonder how many will live to see 50.If you suffere from severe depression at 32 because of your age then i doubt you'll ever live to see 52.
The irony is that Trump actually gives them a reason to exist.With Trump in office they have a subject matter to approach over and over again.But there is a darker side to this.Their increasingly militant tone combined with their advancing age make them a volatile mix.Its funny to watch a twitter meltdown of a so called 'smart person' like Bob.But it will not be as funny if such people start acting out their twisted fantasies.And you should never underestimate fanaticism.Belief in a cause is a very powerfull weapon.Dissmising such folks as idiots ignores how idiots frequently make history.

The saddest thing about the "edge lord" eugenics tweets is that those thoughts are either kept to yourself or told to a close friend or colleague and not shouted in a public space. Bob is either just a straight up idiot or he has no person to talk to about these ideas. I personally have had similar thoughts and have talked with friends about them.
