Bob's nonsense about how societal-evolution "sorts the actual goodies from the actual baddies" is just a derivation of his former Randroid Social Darwinism. Like some sort of ideological version of the demon-fusion in SMT games, he has fused Evolution with Social Progress resulting in Superior Future. Superior Future is just an Evolution that has some cosmetic features of Social Progress and can use a few of its attacks but its weakness against critical thinking became enhanced. Should have read the FAQ, Bob.

You know, I'm pretty sure I could go into any library right now and find an entire BOOKCASE full of MYTHS AND LEGENDS FROM AROUND THE WORLD.

This is... this is like quintessential Bob. Take something that's pretty much a universal human feature that you can find anywhere in any place and any time on Earth, and declare it as some kind of unique feature to the United States.

Assuming some common or even universal feature is somehow unique to America is one of the defining features of the SocJus ideology, and related to a distinctive feature of American liberalism. Liberals are known for moaning about how bad something about in America is, schools for example, and compare it unfavorably with some other country (usually in Scandinavia) rather than compare American schools to shithole countries that had corrupt teachers who don't show up to work or hardly even have schools at all. They look at American schools, which are admittedly not great, and just assume that this badness was somehow uniquely American.

This lack of perspective and relentless focus on the negative about America eventually results in a revolutionary perspective, where a person is unable to see anything good at all about how things are done now and just wants to destroy everything and start over from scratch (which always makes things worse). SocJus is a natural evolution of this. This is why even the less destructive American liberalism is still pathological even though SocJus is worse.

The transition to full-blown SocJus made it even worse because SocJus'ers actively resist learning anything at all about conditions in any other country for fear of having problematic thoughts. (Naturally, the mutation took place in indoctrinated young people who didn't know anything.) Bob's profound ignorance greatly aided his recruitment to the SocJus movement.

This is a great point, but it's more true of the play than of the film. Mozart is practically a side character in the play; we are purely in Salieri's memory for the entire thing. While the movie is framed as a confession, there are still plenty of times we see things from Mozart's perspective, which makes it harder to see how badly Salieri's is skewed.

Right, I see that. Well, I think it's fair to say Amadeus and Royal Dance of the Sun are both bad history, which is only a problem if the audience is fooled into thinking it is real history.

In Das Boot, they were very clear and up-front stating it was fiction, based on real events (e.g., it is mentioned the commander of another U-Boat killed himself. That happened years after Das Boot took place. And today, you can visit that very same U-Boat in Chicago.). However, two other works of fiction (K-19 and Salyut 7) did not go over nearly as well, probably because they used the names of real vessels and implied they were documentaries.

I do think his mental health will decline rapidly towards the end of the year. Takes so bad they'll join the Bob-Hall-of-Shame will appear more often, his violent phantasies will be put out into the open more often, and I think we'll see some increased physical decline. Bob's mind is falling apart, and I don't think he's counterbalancing it with a healthy lifestyle. The party line is that the Holocoof will kill the world, so he stays inside even more than usual. He simmers in his own rage, and I'm pretty sure he's the kind who stress-eats. Prepare for some extended health problems coming up.
