It isn't like he "approves" of them troons, it is just that is what Robert has to work with.
We are all hip to the fact that Robert, and others like him, do the whole "yas queen" to trans and such for self satisfaction. The support may be genuine, but besides internet friends, most likely Roberts has never interacted or had a close trans friend, so all this activism from his part is just skin deep.
