As others have said, this would be bobs souperiour fewture:
Also I picked the above clip just because of it's title, "Out Disappointing Future", which fits Blobby to a T, of course he'd look at something that normal humans would turn their nose up at and get all excited about it. I mean we've seen his cooking...
that sort of thing reminds me of a MAD Magazine article from the 1960s that theorized that motor scooters would replace walking to the extent that humanity in America would devolve into round-bottomed, vestigial-legged things (like those round-bottomed inflatable dolls) that would be "pushovers for the lean and hungry barbarians from the East" and showing a stereotypical PRA Chinese soldier poking a "round bottomed toy doll" American.

And we know to a certain extent that it is right. After all, how many people are so used to fucking mobility scooters that they go on a rampage if they get somewhere and there is none. How many times a lardbeast went on a chimpout just because someone with crippling health problems dared to take one rather than leaving it for their lazy ass?

I swear to god that today we are fed a constant stream of laziness thinking of it as progress when it's poison for our minds and bodies. And it only feeds my desire to live off th grid.

That's the social justice trap. They think they're inherently better and and more enlightened than the Nazis, so they can do no wrong, when the Nazis thought they themselves could do no wrong as well.
They were both just trying to create a Superior Future. A bunch of people had to be eliminated for that to happen though.

All utopias are built on a foundation of blood.

Has Bob ever read "The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas," and do you suppose it would do any good if he did?
I don't think he'd understand it or, really, anything more complicated than Marvel capeshit. Even DC appears too intellectual for him.

So I decided to do some searching and found citations.

I'm in favor of sending Bob to the Moon, but I don't think they make spacesuits in XXXL:

Aside from being in excellent health, prospective astronauts must meet the following requirements: — Measure between 149.5 cm and 190.5 cm (4-10 and 6-3), and weigh between 50 and 95 kilograms (110 and 209 pounds)

It costs about $10,000/lb to launch stuff into space, so a MovieBob mission would probably bankrupt NASA

Oh, MAD wasn't even talking about what we now call "mobility scooters" (battery powered rascals/scooty-puffs/whatever hadn't been invented yet), it was talking about these things:
1609202294234.png

However yeah, the whole mobility scooter thing is definitely more feasible for what MAD envisioned than an old skool "scooter" such as pictured above. One of the images in the MAD article was a house designed around the use of old skool scooters and showed people doing things like shaving while sitting on their scooter, cooking while sitting on it, jumping rope while riding on it, and in the attic were skis ice skates and 'useless records' (marching songs) and in the garage were scooters with a ski attachment (almost like a ski-doo) and ice skate attachment up front instead of a front wheel, and the big boat of a family car had a place in the back to put scooters, like a bike rack. And the idea was that even athletes would start using scooters in football, basketball, and baseball (the 'home run' would theoretically become the 'home drive').

Also, Bob getting a Rascal because he lost a foot or two to the 'beetus when?

Bobby and Luke team up agains DCEU fans, because -- excuse me if I parse Bobby's Gordian-knot phraseology wrong -- they aren't "high-spending media-savvy socially-liberal upscale/aspirant women"

Recall that part of the Consoomer meme:

Why should men be mad (and suddenly discover Marxism) because women outspend them? Since time immemorial women has held the checkbook to the family and they are expected to outspend men!

Bobby shills Luke's "machine-learning project".
View attachment 1813965

"Machine learning" sounds grandiose, but just read what Luke says about his brain child:

So what Luke wants is a faux hi-tech front that reassures companies that h8ters are all paid shills. If Luke were at all competent, his algorithm will contain all the bias of its creator, i.e. a mentally ill, chronically suicidal, media-addicted tranny who thinks "representation" justifies all. But Machine Learning!! Science!!! and don't everybody Fucking Loves Science?

If Warner had Luke's fabulous Machine Learning algorithm, they would have been convinced that the first reviews are from "insular community with some sort of marching orders", not "real customers", and that they should proceed with Justice League.

BTW Bobby's WW84 review is up. 9 minutes.

I want to know why I, an engineer who is not from the US, has seen more classic American films than Bob.

His desk description of "Gabriel Over the White House" is fucking insane. The movie predicted the failure of the Battleship in WWII and the post war mutually assured destruction of the nuclear age.

This is akin to saying "The Godfather" is about a wedding reception.

I think it means he wants to manage social media for the rat.
More specifically, he wants the authority to push around talent like Gina Carano, no doubt fueled in part by the fact that she's more of a man than he is.
Why would a company worth $330 billion be dumb enough to hire Bob in the first place?
The same company that would buy one of the most successful sci-fi franchises of all time and within less than a decade run it into the fucking ground?
That's the social justice trap. They think they're inherently better and and more enlightened than the Nazis, so they can do no wrong, when the Nazis thought they themselves could do no wrong as well.
I've noticed a rather frightening trend where it seems that a large number, if not the majority, of millenials and zoomers have an extremely totalitarian mindset - where anything is justified if gets the right results, which in reality really translates to "gets me what I want" or "hurts the people I hate."

Now it's Bobby's chance to work for the Happiest Place On Earth, at the comfort of his own waterlogged basement!

Oh man do it Disney. We are missing out on offical Disney social media accounts going on about how racist mayo ghouls don't deserve to visit their parks while screaming about how universal studios are for maga nazis.

Actually, China just did a lunar sample return.
And no one took umbrage over what the researchers wore (cf. this).

I know this opinion isn't popular here, but not being saddled with niggers, feminists, queers, and other gimme-gimme grievers will give East Asia an edge in sci-tech over the West. Diversity is NOT strength.

The "episodes" Chris promised:
23.png

Two shinning intellect discuss popcorn flick. Luke starts off by blocking someone bearing an inconvenient truth, that someone can actually love the Synder movies without being wrongthinkers.
Untitled.png

Then comes the focus of the discussion: MCU, which is "very political":
123.png
It is saying something when Luke, of all people, has more insight than Bobby. "Hey this shit is just like an average D&D campaign that bears no resemblance to real life, how can it be 'political'?"

Bobby's reply suggests he is not as much a doofus as we usually take him as: he seems aware that the "politics" of both the woke Democrats and MCU are puerile and strictly ornamental.
Bobby said:
Partly because, while the maxim that "everything is political" is TRUE - *nobody* has internalized it more completely than Progressive Democrat Americans; for whom it means their FEELINGS about the world and their POLITICS about the world are one and the same and, additionally, that this way of looking at the world makes them MORE righteous and good than every other political persuasion because how they feel = how they vote = who they are = "Being Myself Is Doing Good Politics."

The MCU has the right "general worldview." That's it.

The good guys are diverse, redemption is possible, teamwork and collective-action are essential - but because they COMBINE unique exceptionalisms - soldiering and wealth and "being The Hulk" are good actually if you use them FOR good i.e. AGAINST bad. Everyone good should get along and assemble on the same team to defeat everyone bad - oh! And also sexism and racism SPECIFICALLY are very bad and we have specific guys who tackle that primarily, that's how committed we are. And so long as you're "not with the bad guys" that means your good so if it came to it you'd be on the side that came out of the portals in that last movie. You're on the right side, you made the right choices, voted correctly, picked the right degree track, used the right word in that social situation, etc.

As to the actual internal politics of the FILMS, narratively... I mean I'd say it's left-of-center/progressive in sense that it's broadly anti-isolationist, anti-colonialist and anti-racist. It's most interesting consistent ideological trait is being pro-found/post-nuclear family. Like the ONE note that damn near Every. Single. MCU movie keeps hitting over and over - almost moreso and with more variety than "Fast & Furious" is reifying idealizations of created family units among characters; often VERSUS the traditional type.

So when people get on about "The MCU is Neoliberalism: The Series," if they're talking about it's main values being "Borders and solitude are bad, everything should get on the same team and Friend-Families are just THE BEST!" ...okay, there's not NOT a point there?
"...so long as you're 'not with the bad guys' that means your (sic) good". No wonder manchildren find MCU so reassuring.

Don't look down on manchildren though; they might work for Amnesty International!

I don't see much point in this argument; comic-book movies are trash and totally bereft of creativity.

Let's go back to the mentally-stimulating discourse between Bobby and Luke, which we started this episode with. A filthy peasant sullied Lady Luke's virtue and Sir Robert was roused from his sleep.

Bobby and his orbiters will make perfect trainers for Luke's AI; they are no smarter than binary code.

If only people knew how bad it really was. Blacks were protesting Apollo's funding because it wasn't being spent on them.
