Objectively Godzilla is way more powerful and resilient than King Kong but I view this as a liability that makes him LESS likely to win. I'm afraid they're gonna pull some bullshit and have Kong come out as the winner because Hollywood logic dictates that the underdog almost always wins.
Maybe King Kong gets a power-up from another kaiju? Something like that happened at the end of Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla II and Godzilla: King of the Monsters.

The creators said there will be a definitive winner and they won't pussy out with a vague "it's a draw" ending. Personally I'm rooting for Godzilla. Objectively Godzilla is way more powerful and resilient than King Kong but I view this as a liability that makes him LESS likely to win. I'm afraid they're gonna pull some bullshit and have Kong come out as the winner because Hollywood logic dictates that the underdog almost always wins.

On that note, fuck Hollywood.

Won't happen, Godzilla and kong will fight, sing and dance, but at the last minute a larger threat will show up and they will have to join forces to take it down, we all know that is a given.

Maybe they will show the definitive winner as in, one of the monster gets knocked out or is clearly cornered before the fight against the big bad monster.

kinda like it was clear that Superman won in the Batman V Superman movie (no duh), but in the end blah blah blah you guys know the rest.

But whatever, these hollywood kaiju flicks have been kinda shite really (to be fair, I don't like Kaiju movies), and the only one kinda decent is the Skull Island one, and just for john c reilly's character.

It's almost scary how predictably dumb Bob is, name dropping Lynch even though he probably doesn't understand him beyond the surface level "OMG so surreal and weird you guiz".

Bob: "oMg It'S sO sUbTlE lIkE LyNcH yEt hEaVy CrOnEnBeRg-LiKe!!!"

No. It's a terrible show with the most obvious plot twist that they won't reveal until the end of the season so you stick around to watch Disney's Z-Tier sitcom.

WandaVision is a shitty 80's humor sitcom with a 50's coat of paint on it with a blatantly shameless Marvel tag slapped on to ensure the soymasses flock to an otherwise mediocre low budget series.
David Lynch's brand of mystery wasn't this obvious or retarded. Everyone watching knows something's off. Vision is dead and Wanda is being fed a lie.
A toddler can deduce this, and Bob, the movie critic, thinks this is an actual high-art series?
:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

They'd be better off dropping the near non-existent mystery/thriller aspect and just embracing the ham. Call this an alt-universe spin-off.
But no... gotta rope the Soys in.

Take the Marvel parts out of the show, and you lose nothing.
It's a shit show that was destined to fail, so the suits thought that suckers like Bob would love it if they added capeshit heroes in it.
And voila, Boebert eats it up like diabetes will eat his foot.

Climate change is undeniably occuring, however mankind's involvement is debatable. Those sounding the alarm on the climate have been mostly hilariously wrong in their predictions, yet at the same time there are islands in the pacific, and places like Mogadishu, that are disappearing beneath the waves. Climate patterns are alternating resulting in water shortages in many countries. The rockies get far less snow then they used to, ece.

Now, what we all CAN agree on is, regardless if mankind is having as much of an impact as is claimed, is that maintaining someone the size of Blobbo is a tremendous strain on the environment regardless.
Drown the Mog? Sounds like an improvement! As for the Rockies, people forget that "El Nino" returned to North America a few years ago. Those tropical winds keep things warm which I would accredit with the Rockies getting less snow. That, and milder winters mean it doesn't build up like it used to.

I mean, I live in Calgary and on Tuesday I saw it RAIN in January. The moisture still comes, it just doesn't accumulate like it used to. Anyone who thinks climate change isn't real is an absolute moron, but the planet has warmed up and cooled off several times throughout it's history, even since the dawn of mankind. The difference is that this is the first time the weather has warmed up while we had a means of recording it. The geological record shows that when weather began being documented in the late 1800's the planet was emerging from an ice-age. Now, the planet is moving back into a warming period and it's the first time it's being documented.

People conflate the phrase ice-age with "THE Ice-Age", but they're different. That was what is known as a "Glacial" ice age, and there have been several of those in the planet's history, too, not just the one that followed the extinction of dinosaurs and ushered in the age of mammals.

I genuinely believe that Bob is incapable of being happy. He is just a miserable person.
He's outright admitted this. Or at least, strongly hinted at it multiple times.

Some years ago, reporting the trial of Eichmann in Jerusalem, I spoke of "the banality of evil" and meant with this no theory or doctrine but something quite factual, the phenomenon of evil deeds, committed on a gigantic scale, which could not be traced to any particularity of wickedness, pathology, or ideological conviction in the doer, whose only personal distinction was a perhaps extraordinary shallowness. However monstrous the deeds were, the doer was neither monstrous nor demonic, and the only specific characteristic one could detect in his past as well as in his behavior during the trial and the preceding police examination was something entirely negative: it was not stupidity but a curious, quite authentic inability to think.

What is exactly the twist in this WandaVision series anyway?

Because the whole "the Scarlet Witch is living in a illusion, being monitored by some shadow Organization" is laid bare in the trailer, and it is clear that her reality bending powers are getting out of control.

As for the whole "it like a David Lynch movie"... just, whatever, media criticism is a useless exercise anyway, and the "it's like recognizable pop-culture X product" doesn't bother me so much as it is just a trite way of conveying what these products are for easy consumption.

And nothing is a 100% original, not even David Lynch, but at least back when Lynch came about, he has enough of his own personality and movie writers didn't use the crutch that is pop-culture point of reference.

Easiest shit in world to just say "David Lynch is just a dark distortion of Fellini's surrealism", but that would be downplaying a lot of Lynch unique points, and I would be just a cunt showing of that I saw a couple of Felini flicks (and managed to stay awake till the end of one)

And unfortunantly for Robert, that is one of his biggest failures as a movie writer, the constant referencing and call backs to other movies, or any ficitional works to explain the subject he is talking about, he uses it so much that it it becomes more about Robert flexing his movie repertoire, and less about illustrating how the movie plays out.

That's really it.
It's not a twist at all to anyone over 3, but the actual show is acting like it is, and thinks the audience didn't see the trailer. And with people like Moviebob as the target audience, they succeed.
Bob already discarded the trailer "spoilers" and is shilling the show as if it's a complex narrative on par with films like 'Mulholland Drive' or 'A Tale of Two Sisters'.
This is his idea of a thinking man's show.

This explains well something that always bugged me about Blob's content, even before I knew or cared about his bullshit. The guy has literally nothing to say for himself; every comment he has is either based in superficial similarity to things he likes for the shallowest reasons, or political canned ham that would make Mao blush. Every single opportunity to comment on universally meaningful artistic symbolism is utterly wasted on fantasies of authoritarian domination and the most vague consoomerist fancies; it was fucking insufferable even without the full implications of the politics. 100% of his opinions are 'X is like Y and I liked Y' or '[Insert Propaganda Here]'.

And he thinks that all the mental horseshit he gorges on would make him part of the intelligentsia, not realizing he's already secured his spot on the wall for he first firing squad.

Having watched WandaVision today, I can honestly tell everyone here (who hasn't seen it) that it's average at best and most of my entertainment came from riffing it, like remarking how Kitty Foreman is in the wrong decade in the first episode. I'm invested in it, but minimally.

Isn't Bob under six foot? I rarely see short officers up here that aren't women. Also, he really wants us to believe he went outside? If it's not to some movie theatre than he's at home in his basement Tweeting about his glorious revolution.

I have family like that, granted they are nowhere near as malevolent as Bob. They're just drunk off their own trite ideology that I try to minimize my communications with them to keep my sanity intact. Much like Bob, they prove why social media has been a blight on mankind.

I feel similarly about some of my family.
They know on an academic level that dissenting opinions, vigorous debate, diversity of thought, and all that are important for a healthy brain full of healthy thoughts. They know academically that modern politics is all about saying one thing out loud to cover up for something else said quietly. But it seems that rhetoric which smacks of 'progress' while requiring none of the thought or restraint of real progress, is too alluring to the naturally lazy human logic.

Contrast with something like Blob, which takes vicious glee in rejecting anything that requires more thought than reading it out of a little red book, and will froth and rage at anything which defies his urge to throw it into the pit of mayo-ghoul irrelevancy.

They really play it like it's a mystery what's going on? That's beyond lame. Unless there's some secret second twist that they have up their sleeve I can't imagine what there is to look forward to in terms of plot.

Is Boebert really out here thinking "WandaVision" (which, to a non Marvelfag like me, is a fucking silly name that reminds me of the Fairly Odd Parents more than anything else) is a striking piece of media? I guess in a Disney corporate sense it's a little different than the norm, but it strikes me as a pastiche of The Prisoner, that dating episode of Black Mirror, and capeshit you have to be "in the know" to understand.

This is an actual Lynchian sitcom. It's on Youtube Boebert. You can find it and watch it for free. Isn't Boebert supposed to be a media critic? Yet he never seems to know the first thing about media or cinema. I don't really know much about cinema, but it seems like I'm more qualified than Boebert to comment on media.
