How will Bob react to seeing the Mario film?

I'm surprised that Bob actually chose to comment on ME:A, considering it's one of those dirty western games. And knowing that he knows jack on gaming post-1990.

Got a question though, has Bob talked about enjoying video games beyond Mario/Nintendo related works?
He was anti gamergate and claimed that the people who didn't like artsy games were dude bros.

The FireFlower Fuhrer fought for the Bioware Internet Defense Force during the Mass Effect 3 ending debacle.

His main argument was fans angry over the game's ending were acting way out of line and should respect Bioware's creative vision. He also admits he played very little of the series and what he did play didn't thrill him.

This particular video pisses me off the more I think about it. I can understand if someone doesn't like Mass Effect, like everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but what makes Bob particularly insufferable in this video is that he talks as if he's superior to the people who were justifiably angry a series all about personal choice would end with discarding basically everything about choice, all while admitting he hasn't played much of it. The fact that he didn't really play it already devalued whatever he had to say, and yet he acts like some sort of ultimate authority.

And the worst part is he still does this shit with basically everything he either doesn't care or know about.

So Bob has a "Podcast Pilot" (I'll never understand his need to create pilots for shows he's making and releasing by himself) with his brother, and basically confirms that his insanely grating, off-putting and cartoonish accent is fake. I don't understand why he even uses it beyond :autism::

Thoughts?

Bob on BotW.

I've been playing vidya at least as long as Bob (I was slogging through Zork and The Bard's Tale before Super Mario Bros. ever hit these western shores) and I love the stuff he's talking about while still appreciating the old games. I really don't understand his mindset -- I have a buddy my age I game with and we often talk about how blown away the kid-versions of us would be by modern games.

He just seems to take no joy in anything but shitting on stuff he doesn't like.

If younger me played BotW I'd be sperging about it at school like an exceptional individual that learned not to shit his pants.

Going from the picture of him that's displayed there, you'd think Chris is some kind of blue-collar handyman, which makes Bob's disdain of the working class all the more interesting.

I could understand if he thought the execution was poor, but, this being Movie Bob, I highly doubt he could point out the flaws before degenerating into autism.

from what I have heard, he is using his raido voice there. Acording to Yathzee, his real voice is closer to that cartoony boston accent.

Has he commented on Bob much, in either a positive or disparaging fashion?

He started using his "real" voice toward the end of his Escapist tenure but before Gamergate caused the supposed fighting between Bob and the Escapist. It's possible that he was being quietly told to tone down the politics for awhile though.
