So i wanted to do my usual thing of commenting on a specific
@Positron post that stood out to me, but i feel the need to go a little further.
I've been noticing how Bob has this sort of "tangential" style of thinking, where he seems to be adding on phrases and statements as addendums to his previous statement whilst in the middle of making that statement.
So he could just say "the thing about cute gotchas like this is that there's A LOT of assumption and conflation going on here." That is a complete sentence.
He adds in the "RE" so he can specify what he means. "Subject matter, audience..." and when he gets to patron he has to add parentheses, which makes his sentence 3 statements deep. Like i have to break out PEMDAS from elementary school to figure out what hes trying to say or something.
(Gotcha statement) + (RE: statement) + (Parentheses addendum)
So what is the audience left with?
He's upset that people are assuming and conflating things because of the subject matter, who the audience is, why its being said, who is saying it, and what the intent/hidden meaning is behind the statement. But that applies to everyone, and nothing. Its meaningless, especially coming from a twitter account that does this to other people all the time. He is projecting, and stumbling over his own logic to try and get there.
It is no wonder that he is so upset because he is accusing others of what he is doing. He can't slow down his own thought process to make a coherent statement on its own. Its all glued together disparate components, blurted out in a sort of "blooming onion" of layered statements that are designed to be an all-encompassing, axiomatically true in all instances profound statement of merit. Except its just him saying "hahaha context matters, you are biased and wrong bye bye!"
He needs to stop with the first draft lunacy. He makes associations in his own mind that we are not privy to, and assumes everyone can follow along with his fat hamfisted mayo logic.
