Probably because the GITS fanbase is comprised of people who have loved the mythos and the characters since it appeared stateside in the early 90s, plus the whole added Weeaboo factor.

On the other hand, Power Rangers is a watered down and cashed out franchise that was in essence a bastardization of an existing Japanese franchise, and the only people who are that attached to characters whom have been played by a multitude of different actors of different races is Linkara and... well, you Chippy.

I'm sure Belgium would appreciate the idea that their liberation was a waste of time coming from a man whose closest run with making a stand was getting fired for shitposting on twitter. If you think any wars in history are objectively 'better' or 'worse' you're a fucking idiot. World War 2 has a better public image because the Eastern front was where the war got ugly as opposed to the western. Muh feels about WW1 in the 21st century is totally asinine at the best of times because it's so caught up in the myth of the war that it's impossible to objectively look at the war in any context. Such as the fact the Germans would have seized Europe if the french and British hadnt resisted, or the Turks used it as a pretext to engage in ethnic cleansing. But no fuck that, lions led by donkeys and the Western armies suffered heavy casualties because of incompetent commanders and not because the enemy was a well equipped, well trained well motivated war machine.

Sorry about the power leveling but I fucking hate people like bob who scimmed the battle of the somme of wikipedia and watched the end of blackadder so now they get to decide how historical events are portrayed in fiction.

I thought I recognized him, but it didn't really register until immediately after he wobbled away with his ticket. Like everything was a dead ringer, right down to the NES controller wallet and sperging out when I said the closest show with seats was in 3D (he was naturally seeing Captain America and said something like "is 3D dogshit like it is everywhere else" with a really smug smirk like that was a sick quip or something).

I just checked his Twitter and we live in the same state/area just to make sure. This probably qualifies as powerleveling to some degree, but Jesus Christ.
