Check out his ED page, he's done a lot more unsavory things than you might expect at first glance. There was this one time he wanted to put a teenager in jail for not liking his videos. There's also his book about SMB3, which is pure insanity and compares the console wars to Vietnam.

I'd never heard of Bob before a few weeks ago, until I heard of his book and almost bought it thinking it was a history of the game's development. I was instead convinced to download it instead and holy shit it was the most autistic thing I've ever read. The way he treats Mario makes the whole thing feel like a cult manifesto.

"And then Mario doth stomp the Goomba and got 100 points. Amen."

Also the way he hoes into every goddamn detail is just sad and breaks the rules of good writing.

Well, he's no longer unemployed it seems. He's at Screw Attack, doing his videos, and complaining about Nintendo.

Mostly he hates that Nintendo isn't the best ever, that the eShop is bad, that their attitude towards Let's Plays is unfair [and brought up Angry Joe for it], that there's not enough amiibos [duuuuuuhhhhhhh], and basically that Nintendo should make a damn movie/new Star Fox/new F-Zero/bring Mother 3 over.

I'm surprised ScrewAttack brought him back, especially with what happened last year. Not surprising that he's just treading old ground, with general sperging over Nintendo.

I am surprised that Craig would take back Blob, considering the fact that this is the same person who back stabbed his friend whilst he was on holiday.

So now Bob is bitching about Nintendo. I would love it if Nintendo were to pull off his crap book from stores. That would shatter any remaining love he had for mario.

I was referring to Craig backstabbing his friend Handsome Tom. Craig and Tom had founded Screwattack together, but when Tom was on holiday with Perfect Liz Craig signed a contract with Gametrailers that basically made him the sole owner of Screwattack.

When Tom returned he discovered that Craig had taken all credit for Screwattack. Being a good guy, Tom thought that he would instead be an employee. Craig, being a massive egotistic asshole, kicked Tom out. Tom was followed by Liz and 8bit Mickey and for a few years worked as Game Heroes.
Craig is also the person who kicked out projared, jew wario, Guru Larry and the guys who made Captain S.
This occurred before Bob became part of the Escapist. That Craig is allowing Blob to return is strange.

Of all the people who became part of the Screwattack crew, Bob may be one of, if not the biggest, failures of that site. Where others like projared and guru larry went on to bigger and better things, Bob kept doing the same shit over and over again. His Game Overthinker is basically him rambeling on about how subject x is stupid because he doesn't like it.

I have no idea. I sometimes suspect that these people are stuck in some sort of dimensional rift in which the 90s never passed.

EDIT: Bob may be even worse than the majority of TGWTG crew in that at least tgwtg try different things. Mind you most still do a poor job, but at least they try.

I'll give him this, at least he did stop doing that American Bob show he made in which he sperged about politics.
 
Well, I'm disappointed at ScrewAttack for allowing him to have a show on their channel. Granted, I usually only watch ScrewAttack just for Death Battle and for reruns of AVGN (seriously, does the Nerd do much else these days, or is it just James dicking around doing Let's Plays?), but all the same. It really does feel like an odd fit however for Chipman considering his standpoints and the general vibe of SA seems to be at odds. I guess he's going to be like that one token Democrat they keep around at Fox News?
