Bob mentioned America Chavez directly or do you mean that Marvel Rising cartoon? She truly is a honey pot for progressives who don't know a single thing about Latinos....like the "Latinx" writer herself. Honestly the most interesting thing about it was the writer's own inner conflict with not accepting that she's a generic American and trying to be super "ethnic" for acceptance. Technically the store owners ARE the consumers in this case. Marvel gets their money from stores ordering from them and not the readers. That's why they really could give a shit less what stores did with them after having hassled them into buying like 50 more Squirrel Girls.

Dude, comics stores are closing left and right, and Marvel has only 1-2 comics on the monthly top 20, so what store owner would be happy with the literal pillar of the industry in such dire straits?

Money is the #1 reason anything happens in any industry, if America was a top seller, it would have stayed on, simple as.

Same goes for Gwen-Pool, same goes for any comicbook, SJW or not.

That I agree. Comics are still are a really niche thing, I think the only reason they still exist is because the movies are block busters. I don't think they gave a shit about what they were doing around this time, maybe they were really desperate for that SJW market but it didn't really catch on aside form click bait articles.

Fortunately I don't view the film in a political light and just think it is a trash film that I don't plan to see the next in the trilogy right away. I do think it is funny how this seems to be Ghostbusters 2016 all over again, I just hope the film takes a massive shit at the boxoffice the 2nd week to really cause the salt to flow in such a degree that it makes a second salt planet to film it on.
