I'm kinda confused on why he calls Dragon Ball characters "superheroes". It's not like they fight crime or have secret identities and a rouge's gallery or anything like that. Heck, outside of early Funimation dub stuff where they tried to rewrite his personality as a Superman-esque figure, most of the time Goku saves the world is coincidental rather then the focus. He's a goofy adrenaline addict who wants to surpass his limits and would purposely endanger everyone if it meant a better challenge. Not to say he doesn't have morals but he doesn't have much in common with capes. If he thinks an episode of Dragon Ball is aimless, it's probably because it's a filler episode which intentionally has pointless plots, so yes his take on it is bad.
Superman protects the world out of a sense of duty and to inspire others to make a difference in society. Goku protects absolutely nothing and fights cause he heard there's a new strong guy in town (p.s. not blowing up the planet is nice too, I live there. We can wish it back anyways).
