I don't think Lovecraft had an issue with gays as, despite everything the letter people tell us, they weren't really that much of a thing a hundred years ago. Lovecraft's real hatred was towards Jews and blacks. I can only assume that Mikey here equivocates being black with being queer or he's dumb. The latter cannot be the case, however.
