Spoiler: For me the DC multiverse begins and ends with a universe where Batman beats people with typewriters.

Long story, probably too injokey, but it started on a long-forgotten forum when someone posted some Elseworlds Gotham by Gaslight style panel where steampunk Batman is narrating about this new weapon he invented as he runs along giant model of a typewriter. (He pulls out a batarang in the next panel I think.) This resulted in someone on the forum asking if the giant typewriter was the new weapon. It got weird from there. As a result, if anything goes too deep into the multiversal weeds like that Dr. Batmanhattan thing I just retreat back to my happy place where the only alternate Batman is Typewriter Batman.
