Gonna re-post this because this has to be one of the shittiest videos I've ever seen lately.

I don't watch youtube a lot, and whenever I click on a video, it goes always into background playing, so it is just something to have on my ears while I do other stuff, but I've taken a look at this video in just a glance and I couldn't help to notice that it is one of the most amateurish videos I ever seen, and this guy has been making videos for over a decade now.

First, the most glaring issue:

Notice that the graphs and the poster in the grab are crisp in 1080 but our boy Robert here is pixelated with a heavy outline due to shitty chromakey and you can see the green light of the background bouncing of him?

That is because when he filmed himself, either Robert shot in 480 or exported the video in 480, but when he composed on his after effect or whatever, he exported everything in 1080 and so we see the discrepancy in the quality of the capture, which is something that should NEVER, EVER HAPPEN!!! 13 year olds know how to do that Robert, for fucks's sake.

If you are going to make a talking head video, and a rule of comp in general, you can't have two same sized elements competing for space in a frame, it is just wrong and bad and makes the whole thing look awkard, not to mention what is the point of having the poster this huge on the fucking frame?

Also, because of the poster taking so much space, the framing of the talking head also looks bad, this sort of video you want to have shoulders high frame, this type of medium frame Robert has is when you are sharing the space with another person.

Jesus Christ Robert, if you HAVE to wear sun glasses to hide your beady eyes, there are cheap non-reflective options out there, it is amateurish to show the monitor from which you are reading your overly verbose speech.

And if you have to read your shit, the whole point of a teleprompter is that you read it as if your are not reading, it is a basic and necessary speech skill in telecommunications. The whole point of a talking head video is that it pass the idea that the host is having a "conversation" with the viewer, so even if he is reading, it needs to sound natural, and that is impossible when the first thing I notice when looking at Robert here is that I CAN SEE THE FUCKING COMPUTER SCREEN HE IS LOOKING AT!

Also, learn how to "human" Robert, because gesticulation doesn't mean just moving your hands while talking.

Why your video sounds like shit Robert? his voice sounds compressed and metalic and I don't think the issue is the mic but the capture, but I don't know much about sound, only that it on his videos it sounds like shit.

You won't get any photography prizes, but at least I can see the motherfucker's face clearly. If you are making a talking head video, the viewer needs to see your mother fucking FACE Robert, and that gets hard when half of your thumb of a head is in HARD SHADOW!!!!!

I would say this is video making 101, but not even that, 13 year olds on their tik-toks know how to do this, because they also pay attention to what other video makers do to the point of what I'm talking about is pretty much basic knowledge.

You can't get more basic mistakes than what Robert does, and he has been doing this for over 10 years, and yet this fat ass had the gall as if he is some sort of philosopher king on twitter.

Not quite. The art was commissioned by the Escapist years ago and the artist probably doesn't even remember or know Robert was still using it till recently.

Robert got the rights to use the art because The Escapist pretty much gave away everything Robert related to him so he would just go away with minimal talk while the contract ended, they just had a twitter message saying Robert was leaving the site and that was it.

And Robert is doing talking Head format because it is a popular and effective way to engage the audience, especially in a short video form when you can shoot the whole video in less than a couple of hours. If you have a good camera presence, can speak eloquently and have a modicum of charisma, doing a talking head video is far more appealing than doing cartoon avatar ones.

And as you can tell, Robert doesn't have any of those qualities. He can barely string sentences without the need to cut and stich them togther.

Also, i just remembered that Robert's good ol' pal Razorfist also likes to make videos facing the camera while wearing sunglasses, let's see how he fares:

Well, I can see the monitor he is reading from, but whithout having to munch much on his cock, but Razorfist elocution skills are quite excellent, it doesn't feel he is reading at all, so it doesn't become a problem like it does in Robert's case.

So, the framing is better, even lights on the face, frame balance and proper audio capture.

And it isn't like it takes a lot of effort, but it does take effort nonetheless, and now here comes the question.

I think the more absurd thing is that they won't have time for this as they have to do the multiple Eternals movies and crossovers including Avengers vs. X-Men vs. Eternals that Bob has confirmed will be coming in the next three or four years.

But I guess Disney could solve this issue by transitioning to a model where they put out a new MCU film every week. My only worry is that Kevin Feige can't script and give daily notes to directors for that many movies personally, he may need to take on Bob as an assistant to keep quality up.
