When Care Bears is the highlight of your list, you know you have a problem.

I'm honestly surprised it took until 2003 for Star Wars to get a standout cartoon. You'd think a franchise this milkable would have produced a lot more. But I guess Lucas was picky.
I honestly think until the mid 90's he had the Star Wars bug out of him and wanted to concentrate on other stuff like Willow, Indiana Jones and it's films and tv show, and let's not forget Howard the Duck. I got admit any "kids" film that had Duck Tits and the main character working in a sex club has my approval like WTF 80's I love it and can't believe it. Also WTF Lea Thompson she goes from wanting to fuck her son to wanting to fuck a duck.

You know this ain't an 80's discussion so I'll get back on topic Blobby is a fat moron.

Bob needs to give it up, she'll never fuck him, both because he's fat and he's not wealthy.
But he's delusional enough to believe that one day he'll be a billionaire with a robot body so obviously she's going to want him then.

Aside from Indiana Jones, none of that stuff ever really got as big. And by the 90s, Spielberg was done with Indy and wanted it to just be a trilogy. Maybe if Lucas had been okay with another director and actor doing a 50s trilogy, he would have been satisfied enough to leave Star Wars alone, but we'll never know.

Also Bob is fat incel who will die an unemployed virgin still living with his mother.

sorry if this has been posted already but Movie Bob is doing work with MatPat now.
We definitely knew Bob was writing for them before, but I don't know if Bob's ever been actually been mentioned in the videos, because I've never had the desire to watch MatPat.
I never really showed much interest in the Film Theorists, though I will admit to watching a few Game Theorists videos. But since Moviebob was welcomed with open arms to that family, the odds of me watching their videos in the future literally stand at zero.

He probably deleted the original tweet because it had a rape joke.

"Tell me your base is angry white men without telling me your base is angry white men"? Well, Moviebob fits at least two of those three criteria:

Is Moviebob perpetually angry? Yep.

Is Moviebob's skin tone white? Yep.

Is Moviebob a man? [repeatedly hammering the X button in doubt]

Someone shows pride during Shame Month:

So that explains why Moviebob is evaded cancellation for so long! Nobody intelligent gives a damn as to what happens to Moviebob in the first place!

Elon Musk wants his workers back in the office and mingle with colleagues
Sounds good to me!

Bob, you can stop sucking up to Elon Musk now. Elon's not going to hire you, no is he going going to send you into space.

No, I don't recall anyone ever gave Kyle Rittenhouse special treatment, unless by "special" you mean "defamatory".
View attachment 3345874
Speaking of defamation of character, shouldn't both Rittenhouse and Nick Sandmann be filing multi-million-dollar libel charges against Moviebob?

This is why it's called Moviebob and not Economicsbob. Bob sucks at money management, and the evidence that Bob's Patreon account still says "live sustainably" proves it.

Bobby thinks that there is a political party fighting for him, because he imagines himself as an aristocrat.

Moviebob takes only one side on any matter: Moviebob's side. As long as Bob survives, there's no casualty toll too high.

Half of Bob's personality is pop culture shit so it isn't too off-topic.

Honestly, I don’t know why people try that whole nice guy/girl routine. It just makes them look weak and vulnerable in my opinion.

I’m a pretty friendly guy myself but I’m no gentleman. I’ll be nice and courteous to people just as long as they are in return. But if you act like an asshole, then I’m gone.
And there's the caveat. There's nothing wrong with being a nice and amiable guy. Otherwise, we wouldn't be talking about Cinema Robert, but the truth of the matter is, people will flock to someone like Rorschach because he's relatable.

The reason why would require an entire character study spanning a small book, but what clinched it in the end was his iconic speech by the end where; out of all the people in the hellish world he lived in, the very last person you thought was going to be the actual idealist who stuck to his convictions to the bitter end, was him.

I imagine a fair few of the 200 Progressive Cool Kids who set the tone for this stuff wish he'd disappear and stop saying the quiet part out loud, but cancelling him for excessive devotion to lefty dogma is a dangerously endocannibalistic line to cross even for them. So they're taking the least-worst option of ignoring him and waiting for diabetes and heart disease to solve the problems.

If Elon gets familiar with Bob, I could see him sending him into space.

Once.

If anime avatar randos are "not people" to Bob, Bob is "not plankton" to people like Rittenhouse and Sandmann, both of whom have done more with their lives in under two decades than Bob will ever do.

See, this is why Bob would be more palatable as an Objectivist: they're doctrinally selfish assholes, but they're honest about that face instead of wrapping themselves up in mealy-mouthed fake empathy.

I think Rorschach's appeal stems from his unflinching commitment to his principals. No matter what, he wants to bring justice to the world. Everything he does, he does because he sees it as the best way to right wrongs where ever they are.
He dies because of his commitment to his principals. His refusal to go along with the other Watchmen in Ozymandias' lie about the squid attack is due to his sense of justice. He can't just sweep under the rug the reason why all those innocent people were killed. He dies as he lived; fighting for truth and justice. I think turning a character like that, even as one as violent and unstable as Rorschach, into a martyr is going to make them endearing in the eyes of the reader.

It didn't help that Veidt's plan basically relied on the idea that no one would believe someone would commit mass murder on that scale as a hoax, and of course his seemingly unlimited special effects and science budget. Veidt's plan kind of reminded me of that old Spider-Man panel. I mean, you're a genius with the ability to do all that, and unleashing a fake squid alien on NYC (and killing half the city) was the best you could do?

I always thought Miracleman was a dress rehearsal for Watchmen, it's where you saw some of the kind of ideas that Moore ended up expanding on in Watchmen.

I felt Rorschach was possibly a look into Moore's own opinion on Superheroes with the all or nothing approach. His Superman and even Supreme in the 90's which was a silver age Superman are pure classic silver/bronze age DC story telling. The heroes are good guys period unlike Marvel which since their start added cracks to make characters more relatable. It seems to me Moore either writes heroes as pure idols who you strive to be like or you go all the way. If you're going to make them flawed then make them truly flawed.

Which I think was fucked up timing on Star Wars getting a good cartoon. Like mid 90s Star Wars video games made genre defining classics. And now I'm mad we could have had a great Star Wars cartoon. And we didn't because Lucas is a tosser.

Not to mention Rorschach is one of the only active characters in the plot. Comedian dies and Rorschach is off to the races. Dan and Laurie don't become seriously involved in the plot until a few issues in.

He also gets pretty much all of the coolest lines, whether directly via his journal, shit he yells at people, or what we hear other people say he said.

Introduce a child kidnapper and murderer? "Men get arrested, dogs get put down"

Gets arrested? "I'm not locked in here with you, you're locked in here with me"

Or when he refuses to uphold the lie, "No, not even in the face of Armageddon, never compromise".

Also, he's part of my favorite bit and I think the funniest line in the comic, when Dan and Laurie are at dinner talking about their old hero days, they mention a villain who was just a masochist who would pick fights so the superheroes would beat him up. Laurie wonders what happened to him, and Dan reveals that the schmuck tried it on Rorschach who proceeded to throw the guy down an elevator shaft.

While we are at this, please MCU please ditch Brie Larson.

What a hot take, with Bob's seal of approval too.

In what world is a beloved celebrity who occasionally bit back at his conniving bitch gold-digging "wife" being supported by friends the same as all of Hollywood defending a legitimate pedophile-rapist?

I wish all journalists and Twitterati a very happy the Rebels at the end of Rogue One.
