Tom Hanks has had a lot of movies where he does an accent, but I'm guessing that top tweet is referring most recently to his role in the upcoming Elvis biopic. It's kind of amusing to poke fun at, to be sure, but then Bobby comes along and has to explain the humor away. Wet blanket, much?
That reply to Bob, though...is this furfag aware that Tim Allen is
very well-loved still? Obviously Pixar keeps asking him to come back for the endless Toy Story sequels, and I'm assuming they didn't go with him for the Lightyear movie because it's the "real" Buzz and not a toy, not because he's
persona non grata or something. Hell, look at the smashing success of Last Man Standing, which ran for nine seasons and enjoyed consistently high ratings throughout its run, and only ended because they felt it was a good time to quit. That doesn't sound like a hated figure to me, except by terminally-online Twitter tards that hate anyone remotely conservative.
Finally, I just wanted an excuse to post this video:
In just two sentences Bob packed about four things he doesn't understand in the slightest. Impressive.
And then MOS comes along and tries to top his idiocy by declaring DC's film efforts a failure, despite pretty much all of their capeshit making good money, not to mention Joker winning an Oscar people care about instead of just the VFX ones like Marvel's output. I won't deny that they've had some missteps, but it's kind of because of that that I still somewhat care about what they put out. You might get a quality movie, you might get a dumpster fire, but it's generally pretty entertaining either way.
Marvel is consistently average, but after a couple dozen of their movies, the formula is far too easy to spot now, and I just don't have the patience for it anymore. Not to mention that I don't think they can come up with a decent story to build up to again on the same level of Daddy Thanos, and no amount of Blobbo cheerleading "SECRET WARS SECRET WARS" will change my mind. I bailed after Endgame and I haven't watched any Marvel capeshit since. I
may watch GotG3 just because those movies have always been pretty fun, but other than that, I'm happy to let go. I got a (mostly) satisfying conclusion to my time investment, and I don't want to watch them spin wheels for another decade.
