This is disincentive small streamers from reporting on these events, if they can't make money off of it then what the point, and allow outlets like WaPo, CNN, and all the others to be the only place you can get updates. Saying Marvel built their empire off of solely Iron Man is really wrong. They opened with Iron Man AND Hulk, then look how fast these movies came out once they saw it had worked, we also know there would have been another Hulk movie in there had it not been for Ed Norton, you can practically see it in the year gap between Iron Man 2 and Thor. (Then look at the pace of all the other MCU releases with how many of them having multiple characters crossing over in them after the first Avengers.)

DC will have put out two franchise-based movies (i.e. not Joker and The Batman) from the Justice League characters in five years, that's as many as the Suicide Squad has gotten. By the time Aquaman 2 comes out there will have been more movies with Shazam characters than there have been Justice League ones. There will be a bigger gap between Superman solo films than there was between Superman Returns and Man of Steel. That's also the case with Superman titled films which had him starring with two other Justice League characters. If they somehow managed to do a Superman film in 2024 the gap between Returns and MOS would be the same as JL and that Superman film.

Bob's also confusing his own views for "actual ticket buyers" again as the three Superman films in the DCEU still rank 2, 5 and 6. Man of Steel is the second highest grossing Superman solo film after the original and BvS is still the fifth highest grossing DC film of all. These were hits at the box office no matter how much Bob or anyone else disliked them so not doing any Superman while doing a Wonder Woman trilogy and flooding the zone with Batman content doesn't make any sense as the anonymous executive apparently said. At least with Snyder's outline you had the excuse of Superman being first dead and then being a central character in the Justice League films.

Bob sucks because he can't just say he doesn't want another Cavill Superman film, I'm not sure I do either compared to maybe just letting The Flash wipe out both Batfleck and Cavill (and Ezra Miller probably) to start over, but instead he makes up all this horseshit to try and paint it as some kind of industry and business knowledge even though it's supported by nothing but the "fairly small amount of" weight of Bob's own opinions.

I think it's because, at the time, a lot of comic readers were inundated with this squeaky clean image of a superman who did it like a boy scout. Watchmen offered a grim look into what actual superheroics would be like given the foibles of human nature (and a severe lack of extraordinary powers). And that the guy who actually does believe in genuine truth and justice also happens to be someone you'd meet in the middle of the street picketing or working a menial job instead of the classic "billionaire crimefighter". The parallels with Veidt is deliberate to show how two men can't be any more different and the way they approached their respective actions.

Needless to say, "superheroes" were like the black ops or elite division of the pentagon with above average training and conditioning.
