Bob cannot learn because learning wounds his ego. Him learning something means he doesn't already know everything. If he doesn't already know everything, it means he isn't the perfect übermensch he desperately tries to convince people he is. If Bob was able to display a little humility and admit when he doesn't know something, he would be infinitely better off than he is now. More people would like him/watch his content if he wasn't such a repellant know-it-all.

Even my broke-ass trailer park serving public school, they spent a few days on the British Colonial Era, including the creation of India and Pakistan, as well as how the Arab states were partitioned after WW1 and WW2 into what we know today. We learned about feudal Japan's history. We learned about China, the Mongols, all that shit. We learned about the Incans, Olmecs, Aztecs and how the Spainards moved massive amounts of gold from the New World to Europe. We learned about Wounded Knee, we learned about other Native American tribes.
Just because Blobby and his friends were too fucking dumb to listen to the teacher or read the textbook doesn't mean everyone else was.
And I remember how the new Ice Age was coming. As recent as the 1990's they were claiming there were going to be blizzards that would cover the Midwest down to Arkansas with 20 feet of snow and Canada would be uninhabitable. We had holes in the ozone layer (which got rid of hairspray because of the chemical the West stopped using but China uses more than every skank in the 80's combined), melting polar ice caps, acid rain, no more bees, and tons of other predictions that never came to pass.
And LOL at him being a thinker. He's the biggest believer I've ever seen.

Hell, I think Bob would fail at how the Stoics viewed suffering, let alone death. In the Meditations by Marcus Aurelius, he literally talks about intentionally seeking discomfort.

Peterson himself probably would do well to have read some of the stuff Pagilia was already writing back in the 80s and 90s rather than thinking he invented it first. She pretty much spotted the flaw in gender/queer studies around the minute those departments were being first set up that we all spend so much of our time lamenting.
