Okay, just a few important points here:
1. This Alex Jones case does not set any precedents, Bob has yet to learn that not every court case sets a precedent and he says this one a lot. He probably thinks you can cite Judge Judy cases in court.
2. Jones didn't even defend himself, he attempted to completely opt out of the trial and got hit with default judgement. Then he fucked up the whole thing because he possibly hired even stupider people as his attorneys for a case he was trying to just dodge rather than fight. Even if precedent was being set here, it wouldn't be about speech for people who actively wish to defend themselves like everyone else would. Would Jones have still lost? Maybe! But we'll never know because he didn't even try! (Seriously just think for two seconds about if precedent on something could be set by one side deliberately throwing a trial.)
3. Who does Bob imagine would be the plaintiffs in all these other cases? Honestly I really need him to explain who he thinks is defamed and is damaged by Flat-Earthers to where I want to waste a Twitter account asking him in hopes he tries to reply so there will be multiple entries to send in to BadLegalTakes. ("Thinkers, duh.")
4. You can't file a class action suit against libsoftiktok and Matt Walsh for criticism of a hospital that also received bomb threats that your child happened to be at. I was going to do that facetious thing where I pretend I'm honestly confused and want an explanation because I'm sure the person has an informed one for this one but I'm really starting to get worried about people not being able to follow along even if they know what's in Positron's caps aren't right if only because Bob endorses them.
