Star Wars is dead, and they only have terrible remakes of better films on their schedule. Normal investors see that this company is flailing and dying and are staying away. TBH I think the whole Alex Jones thing was a situation where Trolling got way, WAY the fuck out of hand, which would explain why Jones tried dodging it rather than fighting it. Jones will appeal the damages, they do seem a bit high and awards are often cut down, but there's nothing else for him to appeal. You can't appeal a default judgement you deliberately chose to get. I suppose you could tell a court you want it vacated because you're an idiot who didn't realize this would happen but they probably won't agree. Especially when you hired attorneys and then did participate when you realized you fucked up. Jones might have been better off literally pretending the case never existed than jumping in to try and limit the damages through buffoonery.
